Stoke post match thread

You've obviously not been going very long......

There was no expectation back in the day. It was more about going to the game with my mates and having a beer and a laugh, gallows humour about Gerry Creaney and Ricky Holden. These days with expectation comes so much more anger and disappointment when we fail to smash a bunch of shit cloggers who bent over for Spurs last week. I'm so fucking angry with Stoke for being cūnts and with their fans for having six fucking fingers and with us for being so shit tonight while Chelsea, with worse players keep fucking winning.

Utterly dreadful first 60 minutes

Big mistake dropping Silva and Sterling. Might as well have played with 10 men as have Navas in there

Silva was easily MOM and only played 30 minutes

How about no. With the benefit of hindsight, watching the greatest European comeback ever, would certainly have been better than watching a 0-0 bore fest. That is quite clear. You don't have to be a Barca fan to wish you'd watched a match of theirs. It's really not a difficult concept to grasp, but I'll help you out further if you need it.

I'm sure Barca got a lot more help from the ref tonight. Just read 2 pens and a blatant pen turned down for PSG, almost makes you think the CL is bent.....

Nolito started then? And created little?

You lot seem to be lacking a bit of the home pitch bounce a Pep team normally enjoys, it's curious
Nolito didn't play, towards the end we actually created some decent chances but didn't take them

like 10 men when Navas plays, no end product.

And corners - season after season - we are no threat
I must have been watching a different game.Navas was arguably the best City player in the first half.
If we had a 6'4" CF he would have scored
a hat trick. Nobody in the box for those crosses.
Very frustrating night. Stoke came to do a job - boring w*nkers.

Very sluggish performance. 1st half just passed us by. Improved after Silva came on but we didn't deserve to win that game. We looked like a tired team who were not focused on this game.

Only players who played well were Silva, Kolarov and Otamendi

theres a lot of pep bashing in this thread, give your heads a wobble,he thought sterling needed a complete break,he knows him better or maybe he had a knock, pep wasn't out thought by hughes,we created enough chances to win the match

The rest of the league are pissing their sides at us shooting ourselves in the foot. We give hope out like a fucking vicar..

i dont think they are really. chelsea are steam rolling the league and teams are dropping points all over. i.e. rags vs bournmouth

Proved again tonight without silva we've fuckall creativity going forward, merlins really gonna take some replacing, if its possible??

Nolito didn't even get on the pitch mate. He had Kev right wing for last 15 mins.

It's not that curious it's sheer arrogance. It's not the first time Peps cost us this season. It won't be the last

Pep once again underestimated the opposition. Result = a loss of two points which at the end of the season might be significant. Pep is pep and he thinks he knows everything. Will he learn from this, probably not.
I don't think he did. We played a very strong side but had nothing in the tank. Half expected that

I can't remember when I was last so angry watching City.
Wouldn't say that mate more frustrated, the league was a long shot and could have give us a bit of breathing space regards top 4 if we had won, just hope pep doesn't think starting silva and sterling on sat after tonight's poorish performance, when it should have been full strength tonight and wholesale changes sat with Monaco on weds in mind ..

That was about as dull as it gets, unless you favour the sideways pass.

Got to say with the exception of the odd half of football we've been very underwhelming at home in the Premier League this season. Quite strange that such an esteemed coach as Pep has served up alot of ordinary football without seemingly having a plan b.

FA Cup or bust now I reckon.

The worry is he will rest half the team with Monaco coming up. Boro will be well up for this, take it lightly and we'll be stung
