The Chameleons / Chameleons Vox

sorry for the grave dig but i found the thread by accident. I was having a pint with John (Drummer) (i had never heard of them) over xmas, they have blagged some free studio time and i am pretty sure he mentioned a new album and or gigs.I was pretty hammered by the time we finished drinking but remember him shaking like a shitting dog and telling me his tendons are now fucked. Hope its news to fans

Sorry to have to report that John Lever died today following a short illness.

May he rest in peace.
Used to have a pint with John regular Dukinfield lad, even played in same football team (got to say far better drummer than footballer) great bloke though who will be sadly missed rest in peace mate.

When I first met him in 1993 I was amazed to find out he was born on the first street I lived on (Hopkinson Avenue in Denton) met him many times over the years and he was always friendly. And humble when you consider what a brilliant band the Chameleons were and how underrated they still are.

Never found out why he was a Blackpool FC fan!
