Since Marco Silva took over, Hull are 4th in the league.
Would be a mistake to underestimate them even though they're 17th.
When the fixtures come out, I always look for when we're playing the likely strugglers. This is absolutely the worst time to play Hull. Some will laugh, but the combination of desperate teams who at the same time have belief is pretty potent. There's usually one team that does a houdini act each season. Sunderland, Leicester, Fulham have all done it. Hull looked dead a while ago. I think that they are Sunderland have the weakest squad. They even sold their best player to West Ham and prospered. Impressive manager. If they do stay up, you could make a case for him to be manager of the season. Obviously Conte rivals him, but instilling belief into a quite ordinary group of players is a big achievement

Cannot under estimate Hull who are fighting to stay up. We need to have our A game imo. Hiping we can turn it on as my youngest lad and my missus will be attending their first game on Saturday. We are also attending the City family day so looking forward to it.

City win 5-0 : )
Hope they bring us good luck. Enjoy. I am looking forward to it too. Should win, but both teams need a result. I'm hoping Vinny makes it. Don't think there's a lot wrong with City that a two new full backs, Vinny and Jesus wont solve.

Perhaps putting too much hope on jesus shoulders. I thought it would take him 3 months at least to hit the ground running. Now he has to start again all over again

Can't be worse than what Caballero served up last night.
I think he can. Caballero's been near enough flawless for thirteen months now, I'd be livid if he's dropped for one mistake after how much shit Bravo (and Stones, and Otamendi, and Fernandinho, and De Bruyne, and Clichy) have gotten away with this season.

------------------Caballero
Zabaleta--Kompany--Stones---Clichy
-------------Delph------Touré-----------
Sterling----------Silva-------------Sané
------------------Aguero

Bravo, Kolarov, Fernando, De Bruyne, Navas, Nolito, Iheanacho

City 2-1 Hull

Only the rags have conceded fewer than us since Willy replaced Bravo. Dropping him for conceding a goal in which a deflection wrong footed him 2 yards from the goal line is such a stupid suggestion it's hard to believe someone actually, seriously, thinks it should happen. Has to be a wind-up.

think delph did alright yesterday, kept possession nicely and made some tackles. Faith has got to be shown in Willy, he's improved dramatically with the ball at his feet. De bruyne is struggling abit, but he can have those moments of magic. Kompany needs a rest.

Willy
Fernandinho
Stones
Kolarov
Clichy
Delph
De bruyne
Silva
Sterling
Sane
Aguero

Single pivot for me, need to attack attack attack. yaya's passing looked off against liverpool and arsenal, shouldn't even see the bench for me.

Wonder if he'll risk Kompany again? Delph deserves to start after last night.
Don't think either have another game in their legs so soon. Navas should be fine to play again and Yaya should be well able for this one so we'll be alright personnel wise.

Yaya isn't up for it anymore. Full stop. Back in a sulk.
I think it's more a case of not being able to handle the intensity of the bigger matches and we need to take certain players out of the firing line. I'd go:

Caballero

Navas (Zaba if fit)
Otamendi
Stones
Kolarov

Yaya

Sterling
Dinho (Delph if able)
Silva
Sané

Aguero

If Yaya is really sulking bring in Garcia and drop Dinho/Delph back to pivot.

I'd go Delph anyway - he should play 5 of the remaining games or so and get a chance to prove he should stick around. If he plays like he did yesterday then it's a no-brainer. Yaya is gone at the end of the season regardless, and he doesn't really make a huge difference on the pitch any more.

Delph would definitely get in on merit after last night, I'd just be worried he'd turn in a lethargic performance after his first 90 minutes in however long it's been. Yaya hasn't been offering much recently but this game should suit him.

While that's true, he hasn't played in a while, I feel that Delph and Kompany have to basically show they can play 3 games in a week to be worth the squad place they take up. It's harsh but we need a squad full of healthy, durable footballers who can survive a month if an injury crisis means they have to play every game.

They've been 100% fit for quite some time, just not being selected, so time to sink or swim really.

Obviously the club have all the stats and metrics from heart rate to number of sprints in training and distance covered to identify if someone's knackered from the previous game and I wouldn't advocate playing them if they're showing clear signs of fatigue, only if they're relatively normal compared to the rest of the team which played yesterday.
