Strongly disagree. Both Milan clubs are irrelevant currently and have been for awhile. There is a large chasm between the them and us right now. He's at AC Milan already mate, they might be going through a rough patch but he wouldn't be under any more pressure here.
If anything that only increases the pressure. The expectation at those clubs is huge, they've built the expectation of success that we're trying to put into place.Strongly disagree. Well hopefully they aren't booing the youngster like many of our supporters would. If anything that only increases the pressure. The expectation at those clubs is huge, they've built the expectation of success that we're trying to put into place.
They boo the entire team every time they don't win.Well hopefully they aren't booing the youngster like many of our supporters would.
That's if he is one of the very top keepers in the world for the next 15 years. And who knows, he might have as good chance of being that good. But at his age the margin for error is a lot bigger than for a player in their early twenties, say.I think it's the opposite. He's arguably matching the very best goalkeepers in the world for performances already and he's got a minimum of 15 years left in his career. If you were to fork out €70m on him and he played until the age Buffon is now, you'd be looking at a spend of €3.3m per year for one of the most important positions on the pitch.
Maybe it is when you're looking at a player in terms of potential, but even without taking into account possible improvement this lad has been doing the business for Milan for the best part of two seasons already, any improvement is a bonus. He's already more experienced than most keepers in their early 20s as well. That's if he is one of the very top keepers in the world for the next 15 years. The Chinese group that bought the milan apparently doesn't look solid, they borrowed money (350m) from the Elliot fund because they couldn't complete the closing of the acquisition with the cash they had available , now It seems that they now have two years to repay the sum of money
There's no problem with that, they can just take out a loan secured against the club to repay the Elliot fund and pay back that loan from club revenue going forward, Glazer style :)The Chinese group that bought the milan apparently doesn't look solid, they borrowed money (350m) from the Elliot fund because they couldn't complete the closing of the acquisition with the cash they had available , now It seems that they now have two years to repay the sum of money
that seems like a bubble thats about to explode

No probs lolNot wanting to steal @karen7 's thunder but City watch reports:
"Manchester City have emerged as favourites to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma (18) this summer.
and City have sensed an opportunity to convince Donnarumma of their project and are ready to make a £30m offer to AC Milan [Daily Mail]"
I have listed the following GK stats for Cabellero, Valdes, Bravo, Pickford and Donnarumma to see how they compared this season:
Average saves per goal: Caballero-2.09, Valdes-1.78 , Bravo-1.08, Pickford-2.26, Donnarumma-3.12
Distribution success: Caballero-77%, Valdes-57%, Bravo-75%, Pickford-51%, Donnarumma-78%
Statistically Donnarumma is the clear leader. For me a combo of Donnarumma first choice and Caballero as reserve would be ideal.
Diana's passing stats are pretty impressive. Always knew he was a superior shotstopper. But never thought of him as a sweeper keeper. Not wanting to steal @karen7 's thunder but City watch reports:

Donnaruma, Semedo, Sandro, Stones, Kompany
or "Donna and the triple S Kompany" sounds like a back 5 I could get behind.
Wow, that is outrageous. Where did you find those stats? I wonder how many keepers in any professional league in Europe have a worse save to goal ratio.Average saves per goal: Caballero-2.09, Valdes-1.78 , Bravo-1.08, Pickford-2.26, Donnarumma-3.12
