One of the issues, is for those that are IN work and do NOT have their rent paid. Low paid job, having to pay rent as well as getting to work and back again etc is a drain

Soft left, not Corbyn left.

I think the BBC does try to be impartial, but the presenters are not particularly good at controlling their body language. Its quite clear who they support whether its a general election, brexit or Trump. During the last election campaign Chuka Umunna was interviewed on breakfast telly. It wasn't a particularly searching interview but those on breakfast telly rarely are, they're not like Newsnight or the Daily Politics. It was fair enough. But at the end the presenter finished by saying "Thanks Chuka, a pleasure as always". Never in a million years would they use that language to a Tory. But since Corbyn took over there's been a definite cooling down in their attitude to Labour.

What do you mean by "fully Brexit" mate?
Just curious as on the Article 50 thread you omitted to clarify what you meant by hard Brexit.

left and right both claims the BBC is bias against there political leanings, that's proof enough to me that its pretty impartial

Leaving the EU is what Brexit means surely? And the ball is firmly in the EU's court considering it means leaving the single market as pointed out by Cameron Osborne Clegg and co before the referendum. Now if there's a deal to be done where we gain access to the single market whilst leaving the mechanism of the EU then I suggest that is what the negotiations will entail.

Staying in the single market with unfettered access for EU migrants and remaining in the customs union isn't Brexit it's the status quo. There is only one Brexit and that will be determined by how stubborn the EU will be.

It does seem that which 'side' people vote on the BBC get accused of bias, although I'm sure some of their political commentators are known for who they vote (Nick Robinson for example).

Obfuscation and "whataboutery" are not confined to Labour mate, the Tories are the masters of it as you well know.
As for Starmer I was wondering if after Labour's defeat he could become the next Leader, or if Labour stitch up the election rules, the transition leader of a new center left party until "cometh the hour cometh THE man" arrives to save us all from the Tories.

I am not going to argue with you about how much politicians lie mate they're all at it. The point I was clumsily making is that this is Labours chance to tell the electorate clearly what they are about and Starmer failed at the first hurdle on a national platform.
 
It's only wrong if you ardently want to remain in the EU. The upcoming election will give May her mandate for her negotiations.

I think the likes of Question Time can move from left to right by the week, but programs like Newsnight are most certainly left wing biased for me.

What do you expect I suppose when you have an ex-Guardian deputy editor as the shows editor and it employing the likes of James O'Brien as presenters.

maybe as a broadcasting network showing the vulnerability in the healthcare, highlighting the treatment of the elderly, treating all people the same despite there colour or sexuality counts as left wing bias
 
Quantum Labour

Europe - we accept an end to free movement
we will also retain membership of the single market and the customs union

the more you know about their policy the less you understand their position.
