Did you watch the interview? Where was he an active supporter of the IRA? He condemned the violence and he spoke to all sides, including those in Stormont, to bring peace. He is very clearly sympathetic to the situation of the catholics and Republicans, but what is wrong with that?

The fact we're even talking about the IRA shows how desperate things are getting. And now another u-turn from the script reader. This could be the biggest comeback since Agueroooooo.
Yep - saw the interview in full several times - pure vacillation by a disingenuous Corbyn.

You are hearing what you want to hear

He won't win but I suspect May will be nowhere near the 200 seat landlside predicted on the day she announced the GE. An interesting bet could be which of them lasts in post longest after the GE result - if he doesn't lose by a landslide Corbyn will have been seen to do ok if May gets a majority under 50 the knives will be out for her

I mean people like you posting in capitals and acting like a internet version of a student union rep, just without the charm or defence of youth.

Just look at your posts. You can't argue or debate without attempted insults.

Oh yeah, you're working class, well done for you. I just sit and stare out out the 2,000 acres I was bequeathed and which I allow the plebs to work, obviously.

No, I wasn't born into wealth or privilege. I've just made the most of my schooling. You've again fallen into the trap of trying to judge someone based on the support of a party at a particular time. You wouldn't be overly impressed if I labelled you a chav or a scrote I'm sure. Although you're on record as saying you'd vote Labour every time whatever the situation, so maybe understanding the thoughts of others or having political empathy is rather beyond you.
I lack empathy for others? It's you who is voting Tory you total muppet. Jesus, you can't even get the baics right, Tory Boy.

Magnificent, Godwin's law in one go.

By the way, at some point all parties end up sitting round a table to sort out the future path, even Mad Donald has figured that.

Well faced with a similar situation what do you think Corbyn would do? Is it appropriate to have talks with anyone who seeks to eradicate our country and way of life? Do you think we should of instead considered sitting around a table with Hitler whilst Germany was pummeling our allies in Europe?

If we had Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the leader of ISIS in plain sight of our drones and we had 5 minutes to make a decision, can you sit easy knowing Corbyn would stop the strike and demand a fair trial for him? This is a man who orders the rape of children, burns gay people and is responsible for a cult destroying the middle east. No doubt you would take the apologist route and blame us for their existence and funnily enough so would Corbyn.

Imagine if it had been our SAS going for Bin Laden and we finally get him in front of someone with a gun and Corbyn has to authorize the hit.... Let's not forget Corbyn said Bin Laden's death (a man who successfully plotted the murder of thousands) was a tragedy. No doubt he would order him to face a trial where he would become a figurehead and live martyr to every terrorist going.

I'm sorry but Corbyn may have his principles and all of that but they do not belong in a world that is not perfect and personally if he wants to sit around a table with ISIS then he is welcome to try... Good luck with that one.

"Clarification" my backside.

It was perfectly clear last week that the only cap would be a £100k residual estate value: nothing on the total amount payable. So if the cap is now open to discussion, that's plainly an about-turn.

The next "clarification" will no doubt be rushing to put a figure on the cap instead of waiting for post-election consultations.

Fcuk off Theresa. "Strong and stable" reminds me of horses and so do you.

I think they will come under a lot of pressure to put a number on the cap, but we try to resist doing so because there's no number that will make people happy. £72,000 is clearly unaffordable in the current financial climate. And if they say something like £200k, then (a) for most people, that's half the value of their home and it won't reassure them much and (b) Labour will say it's just the Tory's looking after their toff mates again, so they can keep their millions and only have to hand over £200k.

It's a total can of worms that need never have been opened. If she'd just kept her trap shut, she'd be cruising for a 150 seat majority. Projections now have it at 40 seats.

You are hearing what you want to hear
Bit like you mate with 'strong and stable'.
Oh and 'coalition of chaos'.
If today's unprecedented climb down on social care is not a perfect example of weak, unstable, chaotic leadership I don't know what is.
Oh and by the way the U turn was (according to Mavis) brought about by Labour. I'd say that makes Labour look pretty strong wouldn't you?
Still got confidence in your weak, unstable, incompetent, chaotic Brexit negotiating team mate?
LOL.

I think that in your mind that must sound really 'assertive' - the bad news for you is that when others read it you just come across as a cock and suggests that nothing else you are saying is worth reading

Let's hope you never get sick and find yourself unable to work eh Cheesey lad?

Let's hope so.

As you're on about being unable to work though.... if Labour get in and immediately increase the minimum wage to £10/hour then that's a prospective employee of mine not able to work as I won't be able to afford taking them on. Then, when they increase Corporation Tax to 26% that may be me unable to afford to work. Double whammy.

He ought to fly out there and give it a try - he could take Gerry Adams with him

I agree with this - the disingenuous way she is 'clarifying' it does more harm than good IMO.

My bet will be a £100k absolute cap - announced by Friday

So we started in 2014 with a suggestion that no one should pay more than £72k, which went into the 2015 election. Then that got "postponed" afterwards. Then we got the suggestion that no one should be left with less than £100k but you could end up paying any amount before you get to that figure. Then, a few days later, we got "Well we're going to do something but we don't know what so we're not telling you. But vote for us anyway." And that's after the self-employed NI shambles in the Budget. You'd think they might have learned the lesson from that.

What an absolute joke. The woman's political judgement is very, very suspect.

You're wrong again mate.
Postal votes out this week, Friday is too late.
May is sounding absolutely desperate under questioning from the media at her press conference.
Questions are all about her being 'weak and wobbly ' under pressure.

Just makes you realise how shit Labour are, when they can't command a lead of the shower that is the current Tory leadership team.
