Very unexpected, I figured we wouldn't go for a player like him until we actually need a Silva replacement, and I really did not expect it to be Bernardo Silva given we're also heavily linked with both Fabinho and Mendy from Monaco. Bernardo will be a top signing though, he'll fit right in and eventually succeed Merlin naturally, it'll be so important that we can replace him so seamlessly.

I really don't think we'll need a Sanchez/Isco/Mbappe after this since he can also play out wide, the only problem this presents is that it might be more difficult to pull off any further Monaco signings.

I'm not sure, but we do want Mendy. Not sure how possible it is though, as it'd be three. Maybe it'd give them the financial strength to keep hold of Mbappe while they pulled some more rabbits out of a hat. You'd think Fabinho, Mendy and Silva would go for at least £100m combined.
