I'm the opposite. Off to the Dam today, the security around here is great.

My only worry is being knocked down by those fucking bikes.

what is it you quote to justify your stance? Because not a single sentence in this quote is true or relevant to Islam.

I would reiterate, fireworks are prohibited in Islam.

Well, I am not sure who "they" are but using fireworks for anything is prohibited in Islam. If someone who happens to be known as a Muslim and does this, it cannot be in the name of Islam, more to do with satisfying their urges.

It's sad to see what people portray in the name of Islam.

The people celebrating the start of Ramadam or whatever the celebration/occasion may have been..christian,hindu,muslim,black,white,mixed race,it doesnt matter, there should have been some empathy shown.

Tough one. You say this which I can totally understand but then you also have the side that says we will not be cowered from our normal way of life. Isn't that why people went to the Simple Minds gig on the Tuesday. You could say that they should have cancelled as a mark of respect but then you would be letting the Terrorists alter your life.

I think going to a gig is different from using fireworks when people would be terrified of fireworks noise following recent events. That's why more sensitivity should be shown.
