Judging by transfer rumours, one thing becomes clear: if we're bringing in Laporte or some other foreign CB, we need to free one of 5 foreign spots:
- Bravo
- Otto
- Kolarov (offloading him would probably force us to buy homegrown LB)
- new foreign forward/winger (Sanchez?)
- new foreign DM (Carvalho?)

Loan Bravo out to someone in Spain and bring in an English back up keeper looking for a pay day - maybe Westwood as SW missed promotion?

Think Gunn is ready to be the primary backup GK next season? If so we can just spend peanuts on some random english goalkeeper to be the 3rd keeper.

Is it 17 foreign spots or 18????
Ederson
Bravo
Diniho
Vinny
Otta
Kolarov
Gudongan
Yaya
Silva.d
Silva.b
Kdb
Jesus
Sane
Aguero

That leaves 3 or 4 Mendy, centerback, defensive midfield, sanchez maybe kolarov out Bertrand in

17. Adding Mendy, DM and forward means no free spots.

It does, i'm beginning to wonder if we if we are looking a an extra centre back possibly Laporte, keep Otamendi and Kolarov and we will see Stones tried as the Def mid/ pivot. That way we could easily change to a back 3

If we think hes ready but if Ederson was to break his hand - would we be comfortable with Gunn playing every game for three months?
Eh, I would. He can't possibly do a worse job than Bravo did last year and besides, Gunn looks the real deal.

Yes. More comfortable than I would be with the Bravo of November-March. Pickford didn't do too badly last season and was behind Gunn for England through the age groups.

Yes, whenever I have seen Him he's looked good, " a safe keeper".
Same and that's too many matches to count for EDS and under, English youth and pre-season with the seniors. Besides, if he starts at no 2 by the time of any injury to Ederson he'll more than likely have had a fair few cup games looking at the depth in our squad (providing targets are signed).

Put it this way, if Caballero had injured himself with 3 games to go in the run-in, I wouldn't have worried in the slightest and that was crunch time.
