He can change his name to Pebbles£60m, good grief.
At least Stones will have some weight off his shoulders.

Hmm. Whilst Stones and Otamendi haven't strictly been bad signings, we do seem to have developed an ugly proclivity to grossly overpay for centre backs.
Stones - £47m+
Mangala - £32m
Otamendi - £31m
If we must break the transfer record paid for a defender, I would hope for someone of the ilk of Bonucci or Alderweireld.
It was reported in the notes to the accounts that it was 32M. Some rag journalist came up with 42.Mangala was 42m[emoji851][emoji854]

Doubt it. We would be Kompany injury away from playing Stones and Van Dijk every game. I don't think Kolarov is even good enough, certainly not against top opposition. Otamendi should stay unless we get very good offerIf we sign Dijk, could this mean Ota on his way? Rumours were Ota had some important offers for the summer....Kompany, Stones, Dijk and Kolarov would seem enough cover for the CB position.
