West Ham interested in Iheanacho

There are a lot of posters that do this. Can we please stop using the phrase "not good enough" to play Pep's system? I don't know about anyone else but it grates with me whenever I read it.

First of all it's demeaning to Pep as a coach. He talks about adapting to the quality of the players all the time. To suggest a player is "not good enough" for Pep's system also suggests he has trouble catering to the quality of the players at his disposal.

Second it's demeaning to the players. All of them are good enough (and have worked bloody hard to be so) when they get to this level. Kelechi may not be deemed suitable at the moment for whatever reason but that doesn't mean he won't be in the future.

If he's not deemed suitable as time goes on, doesn't mean he won't find a style that suits him and will help him go on to become world class. The potential is there. This has been the case with a number of players Pep has sold at his previous clubs. That's OK too. It's part of what makes football so great.

There's something for everyone. It's not just one way or bust.

Using your analogy, Wilf should be getting game time.

Got no issue with selling the lad if Pep believes he isnt ready(or not good enough). If the 20mil is true, great bit of business for the club. The lad has shown potential but I still think he needs to develop his overall game. His touch and passing still need to improve for me and the only way this happens is game time. Sending him to a club like West ham is perfect move for the lad. If he continues to grow, then great, we can use a buy back clause in a few years and if not....club still got 20mil (if the rumours are correct). win-win for the club!

Agreed. Big profit to put towards other players and if he becomes a star we can take him back at a set price

He sold us Yaya after playing him as a cdm and can only assume he didn't realise what a world class box to box midfielder he could be when the shackles were taken off.

As good as Yaya has been, he wasn't in the same bracket as Xavi and Iniesta at that time to play box-to-box in that Barca team, you can see why he kept him as a CDM. Also, he didn't want to let YAYA go either, YAYA wanted more football and bought into the idea of turning City into a dominant force across Europe, and with a bigger wage too you can also see why he swapped from being Barca squad player to being part of city's backbone.

Leicester is a a wildcard option but if they can develop Kelechi I don't have any problem him going there.

He won't learn anything but run onto balls over the top

It won't develop his technical side of the game (that didn't even improve that much with a season under Pep) but that extra bit of tactical help could be useful if we did decide to bring him back. He does need extra games

I'm not sure he will even have enough technical skills for us but i think west ham would be a good fit for him,at least they have a go at playing football

West Ham seemed good fit (that did seem the most logical of choices), but now they don't seem the most stable of clubs (going off the players they are being constantly linked with and with Billc's future in doubt). Leicester seem an unlikely of destinations but could be the better choice.

Hard to say how he could have improved under Pep as he got little game time, and what he got was in fits and starts
