Why can't he say "I no longer enjoy working here, I know I'm under contract but I don't feel right, wouldn't be performing to my best and therefore I'll buy out the remaining year of my contract"?

I'm not very au fait with this kind of scenario but im sure others have done similar.

Everyone knows City would reimburse him, or give his agent a huge fee that he can do whatever he wants with ;)

I would just like to note how no oppo fans seem happy to note he is angling for the move to us...OVER Bayern Munich. How many clubs really have that power and pull? if Bayern appealed to him, just a hint of it and the press would be shitting on us and laughing 'Big Bayern Bounce City' or some shite.

I think it deserves noting as the press don't seem keen on highlighting it.

To be fair, the Mirror are saying it would be a huge coup if we pull it off.

No way Arsenal keep him and write off 50m just to spite him by also not playing him.

Not a chance in reality.

Wenger and the fans might happily want Arsenal writing off £50m if ur meant keeping Sanchez, but not a chance will the owners/ shareholders.

You can add another £8m in wages and probably 3/4m in loyalty bonuses for seeing out his contract on top of the £50m fee they'll miss out on.

Sanchez seems like a player who would kick up a stink, sulk, and agitate if he doesn't get his own way. If a player is unhappy and wishes to leave, then the club cannot stand in his way, contract or not

We know from club's reports and accounts for 2015/16 that Arsenal's wage bill was £195m and City's was £198m.

Arsenal have reportedly offered Sanchez £270k per week. He is highly unlikely to get a basic offer as high as that from City.

His final contract is going to be more about where he is playing football as his career ends. It' does look like he wants that to be at City otherwise he would have signed the extension at Arsenal, or done a deal with Bayern, but he might not get what he wants. That depends on how Arsenal respond. It's going to be a game of bluff.
can you all stop feeding the troll.
