Lets not sign the best right back in the world and one of the all time best because he once said some nasty words about us in the build up to a big game against his then club that hurt the feelings of a few sensitive souls.

We've got some right fucking fannies as fans.

World class manager, world class players, world class facilities, world class ambition, but still a decent sized portion of small time fans.
 
Would be a perfect Summer if we get Alves, Walker, Mendy and Bertrand. 4 full backs capable of playing in a Guardiola team compared to the 0 we had last year.

not really, our modern succes is built on us spashing the cash. No one can argue against that. Barcelona,love or hate em, still does things the Johan Cruyff way. Of course we got history, but I dont see anything in Alves comments that ignores that. Just that City and Barca are differently built clubs.

For what its worth, i think he can be a bit of a ****, but we need that, and he seems immensly popular in every dressing room he's a part of
 
I'm more keen on us getting much younger players but there are just a few that are the exception to that and Alves is one. He is supremely fit, and for a one year term would be exactly what we need until we can develop someone from the academy. He is a born winner who would help off the pitch too. I would much prefer this happening and taking a pass on Walker, who I believe will trend down and for all Spurs having a great season they haven't won much have they. Ultimately Pep knows his potatoes so we have to trust whoever he brings in.
 
We get him, Levy will be calling Pep to get the money before Pep changes his mind on Walker.
