Given we gave Yaya an extended contract I would be surprised if we went for Iniesta, great player that he has been.
Transfer rumors are so fucking easy to invent. 80% of the ones we see have no factual basis whatsoever.
"Pep Guardiola is looking for a reunion with Sergio Busquets (28) by bringing him to the Etihad"
"Manchester City are preparing a shock £135m bid for Barcelona winger Neymar (25)"
"Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has decided to give striker Wilfried Bony (28) a second chance in the first team"
That took me two minutes and I bet someone somewhere would believe them.
Think longer term than just playing, he would be looked at to do a job on the field for a year or maybe two - back up and used sparingly - but given the background with pep more for coaching and building the long term stability at the club
So
Completed
-Ederson
-Bernardo
"Close"
-Mendy
-Bertrand
-Alves
-Walker
-Sanchez
That would be an amazing window, bringing in a CB is still needed IMO, even tho Mendy can maybe play there. I would sell Otamendi, add 30-40m and bring in Van Dijk. That would make us incredibly strong in every position. Next summer we can spend big on a DM.
If we are getting two left backs and a centre back the logical person to replace would be Kolarov who although a reasonable back up is below Ota in my view.So

I can see us keeping Otamendi and buying Van Dijk this window...
I'd like to see Tosin going on loan this time, another year without proper football would be suicidal for him. With Tosin signing a new contract i don't see us buying another CB.
Komps, Stones, Otamendi, Kolarov and Tosin should be enough. But I won't mind getting an upgrade over Kolarov.
This. We don't have free foreign spot for Ota...For another player, I mean ;)I would say one CB has to go if we get Van Dijk.

It would be OK if Kompany's fitness was sorted out. We'll have a lot of games next season. If he's not available, would you be comfortable with Stones and Ota?With Tosin signing a new contract i don't see us buying another CB.

With one year on his contract his value at the end of a year is zero so letting him out on a free or nominal fee won't cost us. I agree there have been no rumours but I haven't heard anything recent about Otters either. My own opinion is that he is the better centre half so it would be logical to keep him if we don't need one who is an occasional left back. Pep's view may differ and I agree Otters may be the one to give way.Kolarov has one more year left and is one wages no other team can come close to so he will be tough to offload. Plus there has been zero rumors of him leaving. Otamendi is my choice to leave, sell him now while he has value.
