Eliaquim Mangala

Yeah, his debut was in a 1-1 draw v Chelsea. He was brilliant that sane's, he completely shackled Costa. The next league game away at Hull he was an absolute car crash, if I remember rightly he scored at own goal and give away a penalty.
He spent half the Hull game trying to cover for Clichy who had a complete 'mare against El Mohamedy.

Lyon have not ruled out Mangala yet, but he has other options and they aren't sure if his €20m fee represents value for money. [L'Equipe]

They are just negotiating a better fee

The transfer agreement document was leaked last season (Football Leaks) the contract as a PDF file that showed it was £42m because of a huge amount we had to pay the third party owners, not Porto.

I posted links to show this on here not too long ago but was dismissed by some of our fans who are convinced this has to be about how we are hated by the football media, which is understandable given the track record (even with the way Sterling's transfer fee was Inflated in some periodicals) and whoever else hates us (Have they formed a queue yet?) but the evidence we have in front of us is hard to ignore if you are honest with yourseld.

It's all over the internet at this point.
The leaked document did not include information about how much we paid Doyen Sports and Danubio.

Porto sold Doyen Sports Yacine Brahimi's rights for essentially pennies on the dollar in exchange for Doyen charging City significantly less for their percentage of Mangala's rights. Porto needed the cash from this transfer so they got a bigger amount for Mangala in exchange for Brahimi effectively. At the time, the expectation was that Doyen would profit hugely off Brahimi's eventual sale (they acquired 80% of his rights for actually less than 80% of what Porto paid for him).

He has kind of petered out and they probably won't benefit as much as initially planned, but they've already made a profit off selling some of his rights back to Porto at a mark up and at some point they will probably get at least another €10m or so out of their 50%.

Feel like he's been a bit hard done by, unfortunately because we can get a fee and he has big wages we have had to make a decision to move him on.

His first game was superb for us and if only we could have got him in with Kompany for a long time I feel like he would be here.

You could say that about all our centre back's mate, they all look better alongside Vinny. When the skipper ain't there that's when the deficiency's begin to show.

We need to find the next Vinny.

I don't keep him. Young, strong, and I'd also like to see Pep work with him for a season or two. At the moment, we are giving him away, because everyone sees we are dealing from a position of weakness. Looks like raw talent, with some qualities we lack. Whether he will ever have the qualities needed to make it at City? Looks like the higher ups have decided not and are willing to piss away about £30M to ship his wages.

Was stuck on the same side of two of the worse fullbacks we have had over the last few years, no wonder his confidence was shot at. Would love to see him given another chance.

Not to mention Pellegrini had no sense of defensive structure at all. Our midfield shape was awful, whenever we lost the ball it'd be the CB's on their own trying to defend after 1 pass.
