36 games, 5 clean sheets, 1.72 Goals against average, 2nd most defensive errors in Europe. Torino president came out and said "he didn't expect so many errors".Didn't watch him last season. How crap was he?
If he'd stayed he could easily have given us a worse season than Bravo (whose was pretty clearly bad).

Ah that's not good. A top keeper keeps you in close games with an average keeper you lose them 5-3. Sadly bravo and joe are not in that top bracket, let's hope to fuck ederson is.

Obviously though last season off field concerns, the crisis of confidence and the fan criticism got to him.
If he can recover from it he'll be a really excellent option, if not a long term one. If he can't, well then the pressure is on Ederson, who does look potentially incredible.

you realize this part is ridiculous, he will not become the best keeper in england.....he couldnt stop a beachball last year in italy you think all of a sudden hes going to be a top notch keeper????? let him go to united because we will smoke him there

Bit over the top but I agree with the gist of that, anyone using Harts time in Italy to say he wouldn't have done any better is just fooling themselves, he never once had season as bad as Bravo did at City... he'd have saved us more points but we probably still wouldn't have won the league with that defence and the wastefulness upfront.joe hart is manchester city or was and from last season with bravo or willy joe hart would have done a better job

It's true he gets far more criticism when he makes the same mistakes as others(not even at a higher frequency either). I think just a matter of at his best he's an exceptional shot stopper at his worst frustrating because you know he could have saved it had he been focused, most of the time he's just been a very good keeper he's had his lows and highs in terms of form but if anything he's spent more time showing his best form than his worst.
Having said that there's a lot of hypocrisy from fans regarding the keeper situation when you really think about it:
One the one hand we have those adamant Hart wasn't good enough(bollocks about not being able to dive left and the like) and Bravo would be miles better who still can't bring themselves to admit they were proved wrong last season(Hart and Willy would probably have save us money and points). As a defense they will tell you he was unsettled and not showing his best form for us(which isn't wrong) but then amusingly they quickly clamber to tell people of Harts season in Italy so "Harts still shit you see". We've had to shell out again in a short space of time, where we would have been able keep Willy had it gone to plan but we move on.
On the other hand we have those who value Harts loyalty and service to the club who perhaps afford him more patience than we should allow as a club in our position. They supported him to the extent of jumping on Bravo's back before he'd even played a game for us, in the latest tournament in Russia he showed what Pep and many others already knew, he's a very good keeper on his day but he hasn't been convincing in a City shirt unfortunately.
