NO. If we spend 55 instead of 40 we have 15 less to spend.

The only way what you are suggesting makes sense is if we know we are going to sell someone for 15 more than we had planned. AND have factored that into our decision to pay more than we budgeted for Walker. So if someone happens to want to give us 33 million for Hart and we know that and have decided to use that unforeseen bonus to get the deal done then you have a point.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. For example were we expecting to loan Unal out again? Will we get an offer we can't refuse for Roberts when we expecting another loan (possible if we get Sanchez) etc.

Technically for the purpose of this financial year we have £3 million less to spend based on Walkers 5 year contract

No it isn`t.There will be NO impact on our proposed moves for other players just because we may have spent an additional £15M (according to you) on one player. As someone else pointed out to you,we aint a fucking Local government nor a NHS which has to watch every penny. If you think we could not find your imaginary £15M short fall for a transfer target then you really are deluded.
What don`t you understand, it will NOT impact any potential transfers at all.Your name really says a lot about you DeadHead !!!

You ever thought that maybe this 15 added to maybe and extra 5 we may have to pay for Mendy minus the 10 we were hoping for for Bony plus the extra 10 we may have to pay for Sanchez minus the 5 we were hoping to get for Hart might add up to enough of a sum to affect our transfer dealings.

We have a budget. Every sale is going to affect it. That is EXACTLY why we negotiate EVERY transfer.

DeadHead..... I like your username.

No way to know. I guess I would say for this to have any impact on the Walker decision we would have to have made a decision to say...sell instead of loan Roberts. Its quite possible they did make that type of decision.

By the same token, you have no idea what we budgeted for Walker. Maybe we would have gone much higher. We would have had a list of targets and possible costs. I think we got him cheap and this allowed us to buy Douglas.

Conjecture obviously but could be equally as right as your theory.

Of course...I am going off the 40 number that I think floated around for a while.

So in your tiny mind we are fucked because we spent (according to you) £15M more than we could afford and the impact will be disastrous.Quick someone tell our leader ... Don`t Panic Captain Khaldoon, don`t panic,DeadHead says we`re fucked !!
I`ll let you have the last word on the subject as no doubt you`ll not sleep well if you don`t ... flappers never do.

I think you should go back and read my original post on this subject.

Someone asked why certain posters get upset about fees. I answered that question.

I personally am delighted we have signed Walker and the cost doesn't really bother me.
