Tangiential to Mendy this further info on the Breakdown of the Chelsea deal for Bakayoko

Chelsea asked Monaco to send them paperwork so the deal can be completed they never sent it, as they have received a big offer from PSG for Fabinho and they won't sell both Bakayoko and Fabinho so they are buying time right now to see if the PSG bid is legit, so as of right now the deal is off...

Other reports saying that the Bakayoko deal will be completed tonight. We'll just have to wait and see.
 
well if we can get all our players whilst Chelsea fail to really strengthen, then it helps. The less competition and bigger the gulf in class between us at the top and everyone else will make it easier to overcome Sir Anthony "Tailor the result to the desires of his boss" and still seal the trophies.
 
How pacy is this guy btw? Can he hold his own against Sane, Walker or Sterling i wonder? I'm very excited by the amount of pace, power and skill we have down the wings.

I saw that rumour as well mate....not seen any confirmation from the media, so likely just a rumour started by twitter users. I noticed that Ric said he could be here by Tuesday...not sure if Ric has heard that or seen it reported but that would be good news and would mean our 2 biggest needs sorted!

Cheers mate......I try not to get too excited when City are "confident" these days, after the Alves situation but hopefully this is done over the weekend, then atleast we can take our time with the rest of our transfers!;)

Total posturing by the two sides. City Watch posted yesterday that City had increased their bid from 40 to 45 and that was turned down but would come back with another bid. Clearly that bid was made but still denied but sounds closer. £50m should get it done I'm guessing.
