I think he was an option, but if we get Danilo maybe Bertrand may be off the table especially if Southampton try to take us to the cleaners. Maybe the club sees that they could use that extra money for Mendy seeing Monaco want more that £40mil.

I don't think Bertrand is realistic. Southampton just watched us pay £50 million for England's first choice right back why would they accept less than that for England's first choice left back? They have told Liverpool to fuck off all summer unless they pay up for van Dijk they would do the same for us.

We're keeping an eye out on Goretzka...but again a big part of this is his contract. He has one year left. Arsenal also want him so there could be some sort of gents agreement where they play sensibly with us over Sanchez and we do likewise with Goretzka. As is the case with most quality young German players, Bayern could just take him. And also RBL. They've got a good amount to spend this summer.
