It's Quiet - a new dawn

City without Sergio is unthinkable one of the best strickers in the world, if he was to go this summer then the backlash would be difficult for the club to suffer as we would not get to say goodbye to one of the most important players in the clubs history far more than Zabbs ( sorry karen ) and look what he got, and i think the club are aware of this, so thats why i dont think he is going anywhere, at least i hope not.

If that was the only issue perhaps they'd let him go after the first game of the season - window would be open for a month. Could a precontract be done in the summer to allow for this? Only issue is he couldn't be sold later that year by the buying club right?

Ridiculous I know. Lol

The fans won't be ok at all..if he was on the wane fair enough..but he's still banging in 20+ goals a season

What we all have to adjust to is the fact big clubs make big decisions on players all the time.

If he was to go for good money and the side was successful after, it would soon be forgotten.

We cant just keep buying without making room first.

I mean, he is on the wane in many respects, but that's largely irrelevant. He's the face of the franchise, the most beloved and popular player potentially in our history. It's still unthinkable to me that the club would move him on against his will.

Seems to me, if City are in on Mbappe seriously, then Aguero wants to leave. It's impossible to imagine he'd be pushed.

Its probably just me (and mostly because I'm a bit of an old fogey) but isn't anyone else slightly uncomfortable that we're heading towards spending 200m on players this summer? I know the money the PL has and us in particular inflates the costs but the romantic in me still would like to see us develop some of our own talent rather than just buy others.
