Jadon Sancho

Why not just take him to the states?

Does seem a bit odd if we're trying to convince him to stay at the club. With a year to go on his contract not sure this was the most sensible move.

Surely that could have helped said impasse? What harm would it have done to have him there. He's been training with the first team anyway

If it's true he's homesick, maybe he's been given an extended holiday down south?

Sam Lee has tweeted that it was Guardiola's decision to leave him at home, and nothing to do with his contract situation.

Would be a real shame if we lost him. I'd be more gutted if foden left tbh, however if Sancho does end up leaving let's hope it gives the club a reality check. We have been abysmal when it comes to first team chances
Foden for romantic reasons obviously, but for 'practical' ones, the saddest would be if Brahim would leave, for me at least. I think his ceiling is something else even compared to someone like Sancho, but I'm obviously an armchair scout at most. :)

After seeing us go at it in the transfer market i can understand him wanting to look elsewhere. If we get a good fee i would be happy with that business.

I know but he says they are ready to pounce. I'm sure they didn't call City to say that they're ready to punch, so I can't see how any source at City would know which clubs, if any, are ready to pounce.

Maybe the fact that he's been left home, shows we know about the situation and know other clubs have been talking to him? Reports were that we was going to be included, so something has changed....Goal and Blackburn have both made a comment about this now, so maybe there is something more to it?

Has every right to be aggrieved. We really do need to start playing the kids more or the our great academy will start to look more and more like a facade.

City confident Sancho is going nowhere, it must be said, and that he won't be sold. But for now it does not look as if he is going to sign.

And it's not just about £. He's been offered £30k/week, amazing deal for a 17 year old. Thinks he'll get closer to first team elsewhere.

Must think he's on the same level as Sterling at that age.

Will these clubs get done for tapping up one of our players?? B

Hard to blood kids in such a competitive league. Rags had perfect conditions for their lot, winning league by big margins, finishing games off early, means there's a lot less pressure on appearances.

In many ways it could be argued that investing in our squad so we have depth in all areas may mean we create more of the above scenarios to begin to blood young talent.

Perhaps he's been told that his future is elsewhere then.

Very odd leaving him back.

Unless Sancho has been showing poor attitude in training (which I highly doubt) its a joke of a decision imo.

We've done that a lot in the last five years mostly at home. Yet we don't blood the youngsters in. Instead our managers throw on the usual tried and underwhelming suspects

If Sancho thinks Tottenham and Arsenal offer better first team prospects, given they have the same ambitions as us and also have quality first team players to compete with, evidently something is failing on our part.

I can see why people will be a little dissapointed about him potentially leaving. But we've got enough prospects to keep us going for the foreseeable. Sane and sterling will lead the way for a few years, then foden and Brahim will surely get a chance in the coming years. We've also got Roberts, but he could leave this summer. I don't know what sancho is thinking, he can't expect to walk into a team full of established players with a manager under immense pressure. Our failure to give the lads a chance throughout the pellegrini years has caused this. Countless times we could of used a youngster here and there over them three years, but nothing materialised.
