I think we need Sanchez, we simply don't have enough goals in the team.

Jesus, Sane and Sterling are not a guarantee of the goals we will need to win the premier league and we simply do not get enough goals from midfield either.

If we got Sanchez and I'm pretty apathetic to it what team would you pick. Would you have Sergio, Sanchez and jesus in the same 11?

This is what Guardiola thinks. Regardless of what we think, the man who is driving City's transfers offers his opinion on his strikers. You might choose to ignore it because he's going to say good things about his players in public, but there really isn't any concrete evidence, other than newspaper talk, that we are in for Sanchez. Is that enough to go on? In May, and June, maybe. But it's now back-end of July and there's no official talk that we can rely on. A major transfer like this, dragging on for months, we've not got a single quote or anything reliable from anyone...it's all 3rd party info.

How can you say Jesus doesn't bring enough goals to the team, he has hit 7 in 10 games a further 3 ruled out for offside or something like that, how many goals do you want off a guy before it is enough ?

But if we do come out and say anthing, we will get done with a taoping up charge ala Klopp. This why Marca does all of Reals bidding.

Yep.
Sanchez (left)....Sergio....Jesus (right).....not too bad...

Jesus and Sanchez could as well cover mid.
Sane covers left, Raz right.

David, KDB or Bernie to feed them.

I like that.

Perhaps Pep is fed up of our strikers having plenty of chances yet failing to hit the target area most of the time. When the target area is hit we get our share of goals but those who shoot, all of them are inaccurate or at least were last season.
Not once not twice but chronically throughout the season.

I've never understood the way Wenger acts....
However, instead of publically being diplomatic and putting pressure onto Sanchez, he tries to be centre of attention and makes the circus about him.

Tbf, it wouldn't be the best of strategies to publically state now they will cash in on Sanchez and desperately need Lemar...
I think Wenger knows what's gonna happen and he does what he has to do.

Arsenal know Sanchez will leave, they cash in - but have to sign his replacement BEFORE.
They are already working on Lemar and have had bids rejected as Monaco know
they have what Arsenal want and there are not too many alternatives in the market. Arsenal are squeezed somehow.

We will have to wait a bit.
In the meantime we can work on other fronts.

There is no guarantee he will hit a purple patch like that next season, I hope he does and I have confidence he will but I would rather we had Sanchez in the mix as well than just thinking we are fine with Aguero who is one tackle away to being out for months never mind the others.

Jesus came and scored, had his injury, came back in May and immediately scored again.
You are right about our conversion rate, but it's not about Gabriel Jesus I'd say.

It's a bit Harlem globetrotters mate plus if you play Sterling and sane you rest Jesus and Sanchez ? Or you rest just one of them ? Any team needs a certain balance some teams muted on here are a counter attacking teams wet dream.

Have a look at Pep's line ups end of last season after Jesus has returned from injury. Same except Sanchez.

So you're having sane and Sterling benched, KDB in the middle where he was average towards the end of last season, 2 of yaya, Dinho and gundogan benched whilst adding two attacking fullbacks. So in a team of 11 we have a keeper kompany otamendi and 8 players whose main attributes are attacking.

You don't think this is a tiny bit fantasy football.

For those who remember

Kun is Gerd Muller, low centre of gravity and pretty lethal in front of goal

Jesus looks more like Marco Van Basten to me.

In other words a way more all round striker.

If Kun gets injured Gabriel will score at least as many.

Your definition of "attacking fullbacks" might not match Pep's and surely not mine.

Watford 0 - City 5 :

..............Willie
Dinho....Komps...Ota...Clichy
.........Yaya.....KDB
Jesus.......Silva......Sané
............Sergio

I have just exchanged Dinho by Walker, Clichy by Mendy and Sané by Sanchez.
I didn't invent anything. What you call "fantasy football" is Pep's way to play.
What exactly is your point mate?

It's true and it's glorious to watch! ITs only going to improve as we move forward as well!

City have never ever officially declared we are after anyone since about Kaka or Terry.
We have signed loads of players since who the journalists connected to us have said we are after. They are saying we are keen on Sanchez , I believe them. We may or may not get him.

So you don't think walker or Mendy will be more attacking than Dinho or clichy, where's gundogan,Dinho,Sterling, b silva and games against Watford aren't my concern. Every great team I have ever seen have core players and oddly enough some guys who can defend a bit/offer protection
