Fans will always accuse the ref of incompetence.
*and bentness ... which is tiring

How do you explain the Clattenburg handball against Sterling vs Spurs at home a year or so back?

When cameras have proved he couldn't possible see it and also that it hit his back. Especially considering referees say they have to be 100% sure to make decisions.

That isn't a human mistake, it is corrupt beyond any doubt.

Well stay out the thread then. FFS. No other sport has the standard of shit officiating all us football fans have to put up with.
It's like controversy is caused on purpose, to sell the product and give know nowt twats something to harp on about.

He guessed! he was recently in Perth and said some very disturbing stuff about his decision making in games and big games, and certainly made me question his integrity with the thought process he gave about making decisions, staggering his explanation and influence on games he had.

Last year was a complete farce concerning ref bias and decisions (easily a dozen Stonewall penalties not given in our favor, and several non-penalties given against us). None of them were particularly well documented in one location/thread.

I figured it would be good to start one thread to track all of them this year, so at the end of the season a montage can be created. I will try to update this thread and include anything I miss that is mentioned by others.

Saturday's match went well for us, and it ended up being a fairly comfortable win, but two decisions stood out, so there is going to still be a problem I fear.

Brighton (A) 12/8/17:

Against:
-Silva level, but ruled offside, and the whistle blew no earlier than Jesus tapping the ball into the goal.

-Dunk blatant handball, moving his right arm to block the ball a few yards inside the area. The player was several yards away from where the shot was taken. Decision waved away, but it's a clear penalty.

For:
No match changing decisions went in our favor.

The Dunk handball was deliberate and should have been a penalty. I've seen handball leading to penalties given for far less.

What did Clattenburg say about that when asked about Dunk handball? Couldn't hear what he said

Statistics - Brighton 8 fouls, no yellows; City 6 fouls 2 yellows. Possession Brighton bugger all, City three times as much as them.

Just seen the highlights on the OS. If Jesus was booked for the ball hitting his hand as he was falling back to ground after leaping to head the ball why wasn't the Brighton defender not booked for handling the ball in their penalty area?

Of course I forgot - it's City and the clown in the middle was Oliver.

Great thread, I hope you keep it up. It may be a good idea to let the general consensus from this site and elsewhere govern your 'for and against', or it'll leave you open to accusations of bias/blue tinted specs; fwiw, I think you're spot on with today's observations. Maybe a summary of our main rivals for and against would also be a good idea but probably time consuming. I wish I could help you with it but haven't got much free time. Good luck anyway.

MOIAC.

That's us grinding out a result against a all behind the ball team and I think we did it more convincingly than last season.

Thought he was poor, the handball was'nt blatant in my view but was certainly a penalty and should have been seen and given. The Silva offside and the penalty suggest we can expect normal service and illustrate why technology being used more cannot come quick enough for City.

Chelsea seem non to happy with Pawson but whilst not seeing the 90 mins looking at the two red cards they can have little to bitch about.

Thought Silva was just offside but with tin foil hat on I'm not sure the lino would have flagged a Brighton player in that position.

Jesus goal and a penalty wiped off by bottler +4 and top of the league.....

There right back plays Silva onside, in fairness the linesman may not have been able to see him through Silva but it's still an incorrect decision against us.
