So, if we got Sanchez, we still wouldn't need to fill those positions next season, not sure I get that

Sanchez was part of what we needed. The fact he plays all across the front line would have helped enormously given we've lost so many players from that area of the pitch.

We saw with fullbacks, when sellers know you lack in an area, the prices go up because you're desperate.

In my opinion, we needed other players this window for sure. A CM, a LB (Kolarov replacement) and a CB. Some of these were muted as possibilities today, depending on how our business went. Maybe we can survive without them, but we'll need some luck with injuries. Given our outlay over the previous windows it's not a great endorsement that we need to so much.

I hope I'm wrong and everything goes swimmingly. We're never usually that lucky.

I don't understand people saying we are short in attacking areas. If we go back to 4-3-3 we have 5 players for 3 posistions plus another 2 in KDB and David Silva able to push forward and Yaya/Gundegon to drop in.
I'm more concerned that we look short at the back.

We have played David Silva as lone striker in the past FFS. Admittedly he is utter shite in front of goal, but we have played him there.

When we played him there he scored 4 in 6 games as I recall.

I can honestly say this has been one of the funniest days I've had on bluemoon, been comedy gold. I've had the fortune to be on it most of the day, some of the shit has bend hilarious.

With Alexis it would be easier. He is more clinical than Jesus and Kun. Also would help to have him in CL!!! Guess we need to go all guns blazing next summer.

I agree but ultimately we have the best squad and tge best manager so I think people need to stop getting hysterical about this and at least see it as an opportunity for Pep to bring the likes of Sane and Jesus to the fore.
