La Liga want Man City investigation

They don't like it up 'em , Real and Barca have been buying success for donkeys years , their galacticos are jumping ship and will be heading for the riches of the premier league , La Liga's finest are worried and so they should be , there are at least three teams in the premier league and PSG and wealthy clubs in China who can blow them out of the water with transfer fees and salaries , you reap what you sow.

"However, BBC Sport understands Uefa has no intention of opening an investigation into City at this stage."

I loathe the BBC

Its no surprise the BBC have it as the main story, ignoring the facts that we sold loads, have a net spend well within our budget, not even the highest net spenders, are undervalued on sponsorship deals but hey ho, lets leave this non story of a club doing nothing wrong and UEFA saying no investigation as the main headline so the armchair fans can think oh bad old city again without knowing the facts. The BBC know what they are doing (like the other story they have about the CL squads. All about Chelsea and Man Utd, tiny bit on Liverpool and Spurs and yep zero on us).
But what do we expect, if this was Utd accused, the PL be all over it already protecting them

Anyone else get the feeling La Liga, Barca and Real are less bothered about PSG because of the perceived strength and commercial value of Ligue1? A club with our buying power in a league as strong as ours is a bigger threat to them so they are trying to make something of nothing. We are getting bigger as a club all the time, it's nice to see they have noticed. :)

Had enough of these bastards. Especially the way we roll out the red carpet every time they rock up at the Etihad and we seem so so happy to be on the same pitch of them. We need to start looking at them as the enemy. They are out to get us any which way. We need to be ruthless with all of them instead of making it a nice picnic for them. All this mud slinging....some of it always sticks and we end in a negative light. As someone once said "I wouldn't sell them a virus". Time to fight fire with fire and lose the nice tag.

Under the headline....

Uefa resists calls for investigation into whether Manchester City breached FFP rules

Jamie Jackson admits...

A Uefa spokesperson said: “There is no investigation into Manchester City with regards to FFP regulations. Any reports mentioning such an investigation are unsubstantiated.”

But he manages to shoehorn in a completely unrelated bit of Jackson shit stirring....

City Football Group, the parent company of Manchester City, purchased a 44.3% sharee of the La Liga side Girona in August. Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep, bought the same amount. It is not clear if La Liga have concerns about this, too.

You're right Jamie it's not clear if La Liga have concerns about this, it's also not clear whether La Liga have concerns about whether the moon landing was faked or whether Elvis is still alive, but strangely you failed to mention either of these things, which La Liga made no statement about, so it's not yet clear whether they have concerns about them, too.

I'm sure Jackson will be all over this, I expect he'll be asking La Liga about their concerns over North Korea and global warming, as an absence of any statement from them means it remains unclear the extent of their concerns.

I'm concerned.

Wouldn't surprise me if this twat was on the rag payroll.

Can't wait to see British press tell foreign interferer to fuck off.

I would imagine that the British sports press were fully behind any investigation into our spending. I can see us shoving all MANUre puffery off the sports pages until The Good Sheikh, Kool Hand Khaldoon, Txiki and Furry Ammo are sharing a cell in Strangeways, and Pep is cleaning litter from the Rochdale Canal as part of his Community Service.

Who was Soler referring to when he spoke about a club signing a keeper for 50 million?

Don't kid yourself mate, this has Barca's fingerprints all over it too.

Soler is an idiot, no one likes him but his comment was less about FFP and looking for excuses in not reinforcing the squad during the transfer window.

I think the FFP claim from Tebas is rooted in the deal with Girona more than anything else

Nah mate, if they had an issue with Girona then they'd have raised it before this, that has nothing to do with FFP.

I agree with fcbarca, they aren't keen on us having a "B" team in La Liga, especially when we've cleverly circumnavigated ownership issues with the Pere/CFG split.

Fuck 'em
