New Kompany Calf Injury?

I find this attitude towards a player who's been at the heart of the majority of our recent success odd.

Just get rid, throw him on the scrap heap.

A new centre back with half the capability Vinny has got would set us back near 50 million.
Kompany has been irresponsible here. Playing for Belgium when injured started this problem - we have spent 2 years getting him fit again and now he gets a knock playing for Belgium again. Kompany has 30 games a season maximum in him - those games should be for City in key fixtures. Sorry but he needs to get his priorities right.
Did
wtf!!!

!!!!!!
Why keep him he's constantly injured

I think he'll play against Liverpool. I don't think it's a serious injury, but obviously a worry.

He is just as likely to break down whilst training for City.
Which is something we'd take and understand given we pay him his wage and that's three times he's now been injured in two and a half years with belgium. (All but one of the times he's been called up in that time)

And a nice week off would have done him no harm at all. He wouldn't be the first player to do so but we all know he won't.

His priorities, as a passionate Belgian, are to play for his country and do the best he possibly can for them. For many footballers, especially foreign ones, it is the absolute pinnacle of their career and so it damn well should be.

Yes, it's disappointing for us, but let's not forget it is Vinny's passion that makes him the player he is.

Fingers crossed it is nothing serious.

1. Kompany has a serious injury history. Him first of all but also the team have suffered from this.
2. The club has been extremely patient with his situation, has treated him very carefully, very sensitively. I strongly agree with that policy, his character as well as his talent deserve it.
3. City's transfer strategy suggests the manager strongly relies on his services.

If I was him I would take all the above into account, re-examine my situation and reconsider my priorities. I respect him for being a passionate Belgian, but he's also a passionate City player, the team's captain. So that would be the sensible thing to do, as far as I am concerned, you cannot have it all...

But I am not him, am I? So yes, fingers crossed it is nothing serious, I agree...

I have no idea what you are complaining about re my post.
My complaint is that you claimed that City could have signed VVD if only we had offered the "right" amount of money, and then implied how wrong it was to not have done that. You do not know why City did not sign VVD, your claim is unfounded, aka fantasy. When you then criticize City based on your unfounded claim, you are essentially just discussing with yourself in a closed circuit. Off course you are perfectly entitled to be doing that.

Guessing he wants that World Cup next year as his international swansong and that's why he doesn't retire from Belgium team.

Stones cost a lot of money and arrived with a big reputation( deserved or not) . if he can't step up to the plate in a big game the what the fuck good is he? Likewise if pep can't organise a defence to at least be solid then why is he here either. We have plenty in our squad to deal with any team and no longer have a goalie who never makes a save. Vinny missing or not shouldn't be used as an excuse for failure.

Whoever the defence is needs better protection. Whether that be possession or scoring loads. Gundogan and Bernardo are going to be key. But attackers DO need to be more clinical.
