As to the big game against Chelsea, It depends if the ref allows Chelsea to foul without sanction.

Walker and mendy are my favorite player's. Both are rock solid and super fit.
How long is mendy out for?
 
A lot depends on the Chelsea game, if we win I think our confidence will go through the roof and absolutely cruise to wins in our next 3 games against Stoke, Burnley and West Brom. If we lose to Chelsea however, it will be interesting to see how much resilience this team has.

I seem to remember KDB's miss and subsequent loss against Chelsea being pinpointed as the start of our decline last season, I have a feeling this game could be just as important.

I personally think we'll win on Saturday and over the next few weeks start to open up a small gap between us and the chasing pack.

The start of our decline was at exactly this point of last season when we lost to spurs just before the international break. It definitely exposed a few cracks in our team. I’m just asking for a good performance Saturday, if we lose I want us to go down fighting. A draw would be a great result, with our next three fixtures all winnable.
 
Got to be looking at 12 from next 4 think Chelsea may have to score 3 or 4 to beat us and don't think they can against us I expect us to put out a massive statement on Saturday tea time
 
BTW Chelsea got 93 points last season only losing 5 and drawing 3. I believe the winner this season will have to do better still this season. 97 points will probably be required to win the title this season.

No way will 97 points be needed. I think 91 tops will be needed, and I expect it to be less than that.

Don't forget they had 93 points but only 87 were needed to win the title.

Chelsea and Utd will win game after game with less draws than defeats. Mark my words, you will need 97 points to win the title this season.

Don't see that continuing once the schedule picks up and injuries start to happen. But I've gone ahead and bookmarked your words ;)
 
It was also this time last season Chelsea went on that stunning winning run that set them up for the title if I remember correctly. Look, we're going to drop points along the way, some predictable and some infuriating. A point against Chelsea wouldn't be too bad, a win obviously would be superb. If we lose, then we go again next game.
 
Obviously a draw would be okay in terms of contending for the title, but if we're tied with 20 minutes left, I hope the players are thinking "no f*cking way we're dropping points to this lot" instead of "no shame in a draw away at Chelsea". That attitude/arrogance was a big factor in United's 20 year domination of the league (along with spending a fortune on players and refs, of course...). It backfired at 3-1 down when we sick-swanned the bastards, but the number of games the stole from us in the last minutes (or after the last minutes) suggests it worked in their favor more often than not. The tw*ts.

As long as we are not complacent we should collect 9 points and significantly add to our goal difference.

In their next 4 games united have got Liverpool (A) Chelsea (A) and Spurs (H) who are better away from home.

Hopefully we can open up a small gap over the next few fixtures.
 
Lets hope the Rags slip up in at least 2 maybe 3 of those.
 
Fair play to everyone who called it, complete opposite to last season, look like we're about to kick on.

United have Liverpool, Huddersfield, Swansea, Spurs, Chelsea.

Liverpool have United, Spurs, Huddersfield, West Ham, Saints, Chelsea.

Spurs have Bournemouth, Liverpool, United, Palace, Arsenal, West Brom.


If we keep up these standards, which we have no excuse not to, we could easily see some separation at the top of the league by December. Maybe up to 5/6 points if things go our way with the others playing each other.
