Spot on. Reminds me of the other half's son. Always spouting off about empty seats at City yet he's been to about half a dozen games at Old Trafford in the quarter of a century he's been alive. In fact, there was a time a few years ago when he had more United tattoos than actual games attended.

Doubtless with a half and half scarf to commemorate each landmark

Ederson has faced 12 shots (on target) in 8 games
De Gea has faced 23 shots (on target) in 8 games
(DDG had to make 4 more punches/catches too)

Not comparing GKs (tho Ederson looks destined to be one of the best) questioning notion that Utd are more solid. Their GK has been worked more often than ours (including some top quality saves)

United have to be regarded as a thread to a decent extent as shit as it is to say. I feel the main gripe here is how we can see Pep pushed on with his way and already this season. We are seeing how pretty damn fantastic it is. Pep just needed the tools (wingbacks) and he is busting this league up as he did every other with fantastic attacking energetic football. With that, to see a glorified Tony Pullis side getting the same points is irking.

I saw them holding on at the end last weekend and last season we would have drawn or even lost to Shaktar. I look at these things and feel confident they can do what they like, we will be better over the season.

It may come down to cynical pragmatism versus football ideals. Let's hope football ideals win the day...both for football's future in Britain and in general.

So we play Shak
I find it even more odd that we're not included in either the calculations or being a 'title rival'
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes his side’s rivals have an advantage in the title race due to the scheduling of Premier League matches after Champions League away ties

Liverpool, conversely, take on Spartak Moscow on Tuesday night and have an extra 48 hours to prepare for their clash with Newcastle on Sunday.

Mourinho has been angered by the lack of foresight in the Premier League’s scheduling and his side face 3pm Saturday kick-offs against Brighton and Huddersfield after taking on Benfica and Basel away from home in the remainder of the group stage

According to the Telegraph, Mourinho is furious with the lack of preparation his side have been afforded compared to the club’s title rivals.

United have around 192 hours of combined preparation after their three Champions League group stage away games but the likes of Liverpool (321,) Spurs (290) and Chelsea (250) have substantially more.

Now without stating the obvious,(pool321)(spuds290)(chelsea250)
We played wed/sat,while the rags played tues/sunday,,seems the c.unt has a very very short memory issues

So Maureen complains about having to face the mighty Crystal Palace at home after a C/L stroll - meanwhile we get Chelsea away after a tricky game against a very good Shakhtar Donetsk team!
Pep is just getting on with it, no gripes from him. Class!

Maureen has got a point. All those years they always played early Saturday before a game in CL and then on the Sunday after. Welcome to the real world Maureen.

Did they play a prime Barcelona last night? You'd think so reading some of the fawning reports this morning.
CSKA were worse than Feyenoord yet that result was dismissed as cannon fodder.

The biggest joke is that the rags' pot 1 team, Benfica, lost at home to CSKA and last night got battered by Basel. All working out nicely for the rags to top the group and in the last 16 draw some overachievers who finished second in their group. Last time they made the last 16 (4 seasons ago) they drew a shit Olympiakos side (at home second leg of course) and only just managed to stumble past them.

CSKA are crap but they created three or four good chances against the rags last night, the dounought thief saved them. We know by now the rules regarding the media, every victory by them is a masterclass and ours are downplayed or marginalized in the small columns. They are a threat now after a few years in the wilderness but they are too big a club to have stayed down there for long, it was fun while it lasted though.

Usual claptrap from moan a lot about Lukaku.
Mourinho.

"Without a good team it is not possible and the team is playing well. They are amazing numbers for Romelu. He is humble and wants to learn and improve all the time.

Erm, he has scored goals for all teams he has played for!

I don't see them as a threat at all. But also I don't see any kind of seismic catastrophe happening in the very near future for them either...more's the pity. But what I do see is a team that lacks the stability it had under the pisscan, and I don't see it returning any time soon. As we all know Peg is a 'here-today-gone-tomorrow' manager: never sticking around for more than a couple seasons. The rag hierarchy will obviously have been aware of this before his appointment was announced, and I think both they and Maureen are using one another as a stop-gap: a sort of, "it'll do for now" attitude for both parties. Hence the instability.

Us (Pep), Chavs (Contè) and Spuds (Pocchettino) are here for the long haul: I'm sure of that. And it will be these three teams will dominate English football for the next few years. Klopp I'm not sure of, but I think Koeman will not be around for much longer, and Wenger is preparing to move 'upstairs' with the Gooners.
As things stand the rags are nowhere near the standard set by ourselves and the other two mentioned teams, nor will they be for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I see nothing but long term mid-table mediocrity for the vermin.

I wish but I don't see it. Moan a lot will grind out results, it won't be pretty but it will be successful. They were even worse last year and won two trophies, three if you count the charity shield which they do when they win it.

I buy into all of that, but I'm unsure about Conte being in for long haul,he looks like another, that if things start to go against him,he'd be looking to get off asap,a smacked arse twat what I mean there
