If you had seen the game instead of the highlights on MOTD you would know we absolutely dominated them. Most of us who were actually there knew after about 10 minutes that we were going to win.

BTW, We won't be losing 4-0 to anybody this term.

First, Chelsea have a very organised and disciplined team. The problem they had was that they couldn't retain possession. They cleared their lines often enough (which is why Courtois wasn't being peppered with shots) but the ball kept coming back to us. They were on the back foot the entire game. Not only did we dominate possession, we out-thought and out-fought them. When they did have the ball it was in isolated and vulnerable areas. They never looked like taking the initiative one during the whole 90 minutes.

Second, Cante, who is no mug, spotted exactly what was going on at an early stage in the game. Morata came off after about 30 minutes but he had been in discomfort for the previous 10, and had been signaling to the bench that he was in trouble. Cante had been able to think about who he would bring on - and he chose Willian. He had a like-for-like replacement on the bench, but instead used the opportunity to make a tactical switch. He didn't do that because the game was on a knife-edge, he did it because his team were getting battered.

Third, last year Everton scored 4 goals from 4 shots and Leicester scored 4 with not many more. Barring a long term injury to Ederson, nobody is scoring more than one or two against us this season - not least because anyone who takes the lead against us will Park the bus and defend what they have as if their lives depended on it.
