The dippers delusion in football is just an extension of their own warped sense of self importance as people and a city. They live and belong in the past. They are no longer funny or relevant. They can cry, rant and protest as much as they like, no one is interested anymore except their ex player's and the arse licking media. They are the fifty year old man trying to chat up the twenty year old stunner in the bar and can't understand why their charm no longer works. In short they are an embarrassment.
As soon as I read that, although not exactly the same, I had visions of the Del Boy scene when he was leaning back at the bar just after the bar had been lifted.

Ha ha a classic scene! Every dog has its day and hopefully they have had theirs. Before some new wealthy owners and the huge TV revenue came along they were quite happy to be sitting gorging themselves at the top table provided by the champions league money. At the time it was worth around 25 million a year and kept them and the other cosy cartel way ahead of the rest. Nobody could catch up because they could afford the best players, attract all the top youth players and pay the best wages. It was a self perpetuating private club of greed and success and I never heard them saying that was unfair at the time.

Klopp's latest presser was comedic

"The boys read it and they don't feel too good about it"

Fuck Me Klopp, spare a thought for our lads they're routinely slagged off on a daily basis not just in the papers, but from all factions of the media regardless of how they perform.

Haha that is fucking gold. "Be a little nicer to our millionaire professionals when you do your job. Don't forget we're Liverpool here." The man's gone half Trump

Correct me if I’m wrong, but was it not the Scouse Rags that were taking the moral high ground about dealing with ethnically questionable overseas governments and organisations?

First Standard Chartered Bank and their money laundering, and now…

Tibet Water Resources Limited (TWRL) exploits the natural resources of Tibet with the help of the Chinese military occupation. So why has Liverpool FC signed a sponsorship deal with the company?

TWRL is only able to take resources from Tibet because the brutal Chinese military occupation allows it to -- it owes its profits to the repression, torture and denial of political freedoms that have become commonplace there.

In turn, its brand -- and now Liverpool FC -- lend legitimacy to the occupation, creating a cycle of violence and repression.

Political repression isn’t even the only reason that TWRL doesn’t make a good partner for an institution like Liverpool FC -- there are serious environmental problems, too.

Bottling water from Tibetan glaciers exacerbates the existing threat to Tibet’s resources already posed by climate change and pollution -- making an already bad situation even worse.

The Chinese government knows it can only continue to get away with repression in Tibet if its occupation has legitimacy. And associating Tibet with major global brands like Liverpool FC is a great way to normalise the brutal situation.
