Vincent Kompany injuries

With the schedule we have, we will need to rotate CH's/DMs out for 1 game in 5/6/7 depending on their injury record.
AMs/Fullbacks/Wingers should be rotated out game in 4/5/6 depending on their injury record.

We need Kompany back fit in mid Nov and Sanchez in Jan. Tuesday told me that Mangala is awful and Tosin is borderline (but I'm still hopeful).
Tosin is a young lad, who has not been getting the football game time he requires at this stage in his development. He is an extremely talented footballer, with great awareness of what's happening around him. The lad has been shoved in to centre back along side Mangala "a player who has made all his playing partners, look bad to average" It's not for us to judge him, until he has at least played along side a stable defence, given time and opportunity to develop, whilst gaining confidence for himself and of those around him.

No.

You are saying "Stones got better, so Mangala will".

This is complete and utter rubbish and if you actually watched how they play, you would see that. Last season Stones made mistakes while always trying to play Pep's way. Mangala doesn't try to play Pep's way, he plays exactly like he did under Pellegrini. He doesn't do anything with the ball, he doesn't take any responsibility for our build up play. He just sits and waits, passes it to his partner (in this case a 19 year old with no experience) and hopes they do it.

Then he makes mistakes on top of that. That's the crime. He is making all the mistakes Stones and Otamendi made last season, without showing any of the balls Pep talked about Stones having.

He's a very nice bloke, I hope he does well somewhere where his pace and physicality are enough.

To be fair here, how can Mangala learn to develop under Pep's system if Pep never gives him the opportunity to play? With such a lack of playing time, it's no wonder he lacks confidence. It's a shame, because he'll never reach his potential here.

I'd say the training field might be restricting his appearances... just a hunch!!!

I know Tosin is a tidge older than Cameron Humphries but I'd have gone for Cameron over Tosin any day of the week. His awareness of danger is fantastic. Then we have Dave Watson, I mean Joel Latibeaudiere at U18 level who is so talented he will be England's first choice centre half as soon as he starts to play in a Premier league first team. I don't believe we actually need to buy another centre half as these 3 are very good. They all do need to play regularly in the Premier League ASAPfor someone other than us though to reach their potential.

Cameron hasn't progressed in two years at City. Gone backwards unfortunately and has seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth recently.

I know he had a bad injury but as you say he has disappeared off the face of the earth.

Nah mate. Sorry but I watched a good number of his loan games last season for Valencia. Loads of playing time, week in week out. All the mistakes were still there so I can’t agree with your argument about potential. Cant fathom why any fellow blues would want to risk those kind of mistakes in our big games this season. I, for one, just hope there’s no injuries to otta or stones cos they might be a reality of calamities coming.

Delph learned it on the training ground and out it into action on the first chance.

You and your crazy Cornish sense of humour! Seriously though ‘skilful’ is what Mangala most definitely ain’t. Uncomfortable in possession and totally unsuited to the way Pep wants his defenders to play. Chuck in lapses in concentration, dithering on the ball and getting relieved of it as a consequence, and a panicky recipient under pressure, and you’re somewhere nearer the truth. Unlike Stones he will never improve to reach the standard required, simply because he isn’t sufficiently accomplished technically. Seems like a nice lad and I wish him well, but whoever scouted him at a cost of £42m should be shot, revived and then shot again
Lol- he'll get there 'drekly - again seriously, I do take on board the points made about him, but stand by my opinion of his positive attributes -- he was brilliant in his debut, that said it can't be denied he doesn't seem to have developed his game, gone backwards in fact, since then -- I think his goals were in double figures with his previous club. I always felt a goal or two early on in his time with us would have given him a much needed boost, but that never happened for him either. Either way, while he's got the shirt, let's get off his case, imo.

I would be sooooo pleased if this lad starts playing with the confidence to be at his best -- Claudio, have a word with him!

Me too what the boo boys forget is that he did start off well and had a blinder against Chelsea until his confidence was shot.

So he's living off a reputation from one game that was 3 years ago. Sound about right.
He had quite a few decent games including a spell where we didn't concede a goal playing with Demichelis.
He is a moderately competent centre back, but there is no way he suits the way Pep sets his teams up.

No I am going off he's the fact that he's still only 26 a young wiper snapper in centre half terms and with the best coach in the world at the club he has the potential to turn it around.
