Vincent Kompany injuries

His target should be Leicester away in cup, would be very handy to play him in that game i thought Tosin played very well and Managala ok but Vinnie would be a major plus.

He said after the world cup, probably be too late for us then

I'm not convinced he'll be in the starting XI for Belgium at the WC. He'll miss the friendlies coming up in 2 weeks and then they won't play again until March.

However for the first time in several years we can do well without him.

Thought Howard Hockin's bit in the podcast nailed it for me.
I hope Vinnie gets back to full fitness

Honestly kind of stopped paying attention to his return date. Think he has lost his first team spot. Stones and Otamendi have been playing great, how Pep want them to play and don't see him changing things upon Vinnie's return. Though maybe for some games he will go to a back three. Other then that only seeing him being played to give Stones or Otamendi a rest.

If Vinny gets 100% fit again , i can only see him playing if Stones or Otto get banned or injured , he will get League Cup games and the last couple of champs league matches if we stuff Napoli next week , no doubt he will still be an inspiration and presence in the dressing room and along with Yaya , they've seen it all and done it all at our club and that is invaluable to a title challenge.

I would give anything I own
I'd give up my life, my heart, my home
I would give everything I own,
Just to have you back again

Get well Kompany!

Edit - Opening lines are lyrics from David Gates' "Everything I Own," expressing sadness on the passing of his father. While obviously not nearly as devastating as the loss of a parent, Kompany's loss to our team is huge - and at least in this context - the lyrics and sentiment are appropo.

I'm an old fart - and the late 70's song and lyrics are likely unfamiliar to many forum members, thus the edit.

So same as 2 months ago then!
Someone ought to tie a 3-foot-long cord between Kompany's legs during training, making it impossible for him to run at full tilt or stretch/dive into a tackle.

Kompany is a hugely talented player - so talented that I think he could completely change his style - to be far more cautious (Pirlo-esque, albeit at CB).

I'm only being slightly facetious in the above - seriously, Kompany needs to learn to play ultra cautiously if his football career has any chance of continuing.
