Goal covered it, but not seen it mentioned elsewhere yet.

Other than that though, the press are largely eulogising about us and damning about Mourinho’s tactics, as you’d expect.

I worry about any City fan who is looking for perceived injustices in the media after a result like that. Let it go, lads, and enjoy the moment ffs!
Yep. Maureen is getting fuckin slaughtered & El Pep lauded.

Sorry Ric but do you think the throwing of a flare at a rag player would have been mentioned if this had happened at The Etihad? Remember the fuss over the coin thrown at Camelgob?

Yes, the overwhelming majority of media outlets are very favourable to us but the flare should be as big a story as the post-match bust-up. And yet not one mainstream paper, apart from Goal, has mentioned it.

Am I the only one who's a bit bemused why "Mourinho sprinkled with water" is the headline from a fight where Arteta's had his bonnet cracked open?

no, you're not the only one. Has there been anymore on the Arteta situation, has had no press whatsoever as if it never happened

I watched the match on Sly, I thought Ottamendi had been wrestled to the ground but as they showed no replays it was hard to tell if it was a penalty or not. This morning they are still not showing the incident. Thank fuck we have MOTD who showed it and said 2 players wrestled him and it was a clear penalty.
Now as domalino says, Arteta is assaulted and recieves a cut to the face but the headline is about Maureen and milk.

and yet some Blues say we are paranoid.

Oh and before you ask, yes I did enjoy the day and I am also enjoying today as well.

The Premier League Daily show host is asking if we breached etiquette “celebrating in the tunnel” without correctly saying that Jose actually entered our dressing room and that none of our players actually left it.

That’s the only thing that’s annoyed me today.

I agree PB.

No doubt the City archive will have the video evidence should any City fan ever drop litter at the Etihad.

They have shown it a couple of times and it’s a nailed on pen !!

I am glad you noticed this too, If this had been at our place they would have been talking about matches behind closed doors.

Not just that one, but there were legitimate shouts for challenges on Sane in 1st half and Bernard late on. All our pen claims get swept under the carpet and their ONE gets all the headlines, The 'I' even lead with their claim for a penalty. The press just

The press and media in general are so selective with their reporting, all we want is balance, sure debate Herrera's penalty claim, but then debate Otamendi's claim and there were reasonable cases for Sane 1st half and Bernard 2nd half which haven't even got a mention. The flare should have been highlighted, but instead you get Mourinho getting air time for saying we're lucky. Then you have the fracas, reported as Mourinho the victim because of water and milk being thrown, but no mention of Arteta's injury. Its just imbalance.

Come on now even the most ardent City fan must realise that concentrating on how a United team was beaten by City despite having ground advantage is unlikely to encourage their core clickbait to read the game report.

Better to have headlines and stories that don´t mention football-
On that point even Talk Sport says that the etiquette is that opposing managers never go near the celebrating dressing room unless to congratulate them. Otherwise the response is always paper cups and their contents.

Watch our second goal. Look around penalty spot a red has his arms wrapped completely around Jesus and still hasn't let go as we speak....if Nico had blazed over would we have got a pen for that......have a real good look and consider?

If you Google "Ferdinand hit by coin" all the mainstream media reported it prominently. BBC, Guardian, Telegraph, Independent, Mail, etc.

Not one mentioned the flare, even in passing, let alone via a headline.
