Frankly, I'd give my head a good scratch as to why Pep would even consider wanting him.
Yes I know we went for him in the summer but dropped out after our 2nd bid of £28m was rejected (source WBA empliyee) but I still scratch my head and wonder what on earth we saw in him.

Jesus mate. Times are hard. 3 quid is a lot of money to someone like me. I have a lot of habits that need servicing. Your proposition, although healthy, would be tipping the cart from it's already balanced state to slightly over the edge resulting in many apples being spilt. I hope you understand.

Jonny Evans a man in demand. @Arsenal and @ManCity both made contact. Understood Wenger particularly keen. Could pay up to £25m, inc Debuchy going other way. Player ideally would stay in north west (family base) but not going to ignore club of Arsenal's standing.

This ones going to irk people - how can he possibly be wanted by two top clubs, one of them managed by Pep Guardiola? Perhaps because he's actually a solid player, despite the dross written on this thread.

We are just there to scam Arsenal into buying him. Once Arsenal loses that 20+m into signing Evans, they would need to recoup by selling us Sanchez. Perfect.
 
I've had time to reflect now and after careful consideration i have determined that he is still fucking wank.

Bottom line: Evans is considered a foreigner in the champions league as long as we have our 4 association players ( Delph, Stones, Walker, Sterling).

In the premier league though he is considered homegrown.

I know I said this before .. and Im sorry for repeating myself .. but why sign Jonny F Evans a 30 year old rag if we wont have the homegrown advantage with him?! Im really annoyed!
