I appreciate it has become some kind of a running gag at this point, but I do genuinly hope if he does come people will support him. good player, shame about the whole ex-rag thing, but hey

He left United and there was that much of a clamour for his football services he picked to ply his trade at the mighty WBA. Bayern, Barca, Real Madrid, Inter, AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Everton, Southampton and Ourselves were all gutted obviously. Since then he has plied his trade in the 11 man defence of WBA

he`s done a fantastic job.

Homegrown Player Rule in UEFA competitions was introduced in 2006–07 season, with fully in force in 2008–09 season. On top of a maximum 25 players for the List A, clubs had to designate a minimum 8 players that were trained by clubs from the same national league, with 4 of them are from the club own youth system.[1] The rule in turn capped a maximum of 17 foreigners for the club in UEFA competitions.

This guy is surely homegrown in the league but in UCL he will occupy a foreign spot because we already have 4 association trained homegrown players! So hes replacing Mangala in the UCL list if we sign him?!

We already have Stones, Walker, Delph and Raheem .. 4 association trained players which is the limit.

This is why I think Evans will sign for Arsenal. No point in signing a 5th association trained player who will occupy a foreign spot every season in the UCL! Unless City management dont mind that!

Perhaps Arsene has said he will sell us Sanchez at a decent price, if we step away & allow them to sign this fantastic central defender.

Minimum. You said minimum. At least 4 from our youth system, minimum of 4 associated. No maximum.

We could have no foreigners at all. 4 youth and 21 associated.

Mandala going on loan would solve your conundrum.

Not that I want JFE here.

Cant See why we would want to sign a 30 year old defender
Yet we are all gung-ho about a 29 year old forward. Go figure! ;)

I don’t want JFE anymore than you do and hope Arsenal take him and waste more money. In fact, if numbers are to be believed, Arsenal might be trading Sanchez for JFE...not exactly good business!!!

Completely different players, positions, and potential contributions to the team... but, apart from that, basically the same thing and so can be used interchangeably for debate. ;-)

Got a repeat of sammy mcilroy all over it, would never be acepted by a lot of fans.

Plus he's a proper rag, cannot see him wanting to be in a dressing room taking the piss out of them, professional or not
