He's grinning because he knows Sergio can't be relied upon and selfishly ruined another potential dangerous situation.

You've been banging this drum for a while and I agree. All Kun did all games was run into dead ends and lose the ball, been a similar trend all season.
Not technically good enough for the current team.

Well played Liverpool best team won today ..the arrogant city fans giving me grief on here take a look at yourselves.the Liverpool midfield couldn't lace our kevs boots was one arrogant comment..i hate Utd fans for that..we now have it amongst our support unfortunately..we just wasn't at the races today. They were first to everything. Well played city..we nearly pulled it back..onwards and upwards for us.

Ferdys worst game for years, defence lost it's head at times

We made them look good.

We carried on till the end and we are still top and on course I will take that.

Poor performance all round and keystone cops errors again for the goals. Had the usual ref performance also in letting them get away with lots but least now the pressure of being unbeaten is off with every team vying to be the team to beat us. Think our next 2 PL games are home to Newcastle and awest Brom, amd although taking nothing for granted, they are games we should win to get over this. Utd will beat Stoke but we still have a 12 point lead. Think the busy period caught up with us and hopefully we can freshen things up in Jan with 1 or 2 new faces.

Bunch of shithouse?
Prick.
Hi prick,
Yes we played like a bunch of shithouses from 45-80mins. We let their intensity and atmosphere affect our game like some little kids would. It was very poor from us.
Psychedelic Casual.

Think we need to stop being so averse to the idea of replacing Aguero in the summer. We missed Jesus, and we need a guy that's closer to his prime years to replace Sergio.

The biggest sign of character was shown in the first half hour of that second half. We absolutely shit ourselves and let the game get away from us.

Yeah it’s alright when they’ve taken their best players off and dropped intensity to keep going, very nice. But where was the fight when it actually mattered?

Anyway, it’s only one game.
When it comes to measuring a teams character, look at the trend, not the outlier. First time that has happened this season. Not the first time we have fought back late on.

Let's keep this in some kind of perspective. Liverpool were at their best. We were really poor by our standards. Thought we were poor across the park. Midfield was over run. Link up play was very poor at times and our defending left a lot to be desired at times. We will be so much better at home against Newcastle. Onwards and upwards. Maybe Stoke will help us out tomorrow but I doubt it. Still in our hands... come on City!!. I reckon 8 more wins needed. Let's get back on track boys. Today was a bad day at the office.

Surprised to look at the table and find Liverpool 15 points behind the leaders watching those celebrations! I thought we were absolutely woeful today at the back, multiple individual errors cost us dear and the game was long gone despite the 4-3 in the end.

A couple of things for me:

1. Stop playing Sterling against Liverpool, he’s been excellent this season but he doesn’t have the mentality to get over the crowd, and he’s shown it in multiples games now. He didn’t play his own game today at all and it essentially breaks down half of our attacking side.

2. Gundogan really needs to pull his weight in this system if he wants to play for the team long-term. I thought he was THE main reason we struggled to play out from the back all game. He was never available and it completely isolated the centre backs and Fernandinho, who not surprisingly all had their worst games in ages. A big part of that for me was Gundogans lack of movement to be available. Consider when Silva plays and how well De Bruyne drops deep; we completely lost that.

3. You will always get the odd mistake with a keeper that plays the way Ederson plays, but he can’t be faulted for his season so far so I don’t begrudge him a mistake today. It was just a shame it came on a day other players had also made big mistakes.

Spot on for points 1 and 3. Gunda just needs to put more effort in, he’s good enough and I believe it will come but the boo boys seem to be taking a shine to him!

If Fernandinho has a bad game were screwed as Gundogan isn't good enough.

Sterling was a shithouse today. Constantly allows their boos to get to him.

A yard too slow all over. Gundogan always going to be struggling against Liverpool’s midfield. Sterling not at the races today. Lots of unforced errors which is unusual from us. Our passing was not great at all. Liverpool will get lots of praise, but ffs all their goals were avoidable. However, 1 defeat in 23, we are still in great shape and credit to the players that they kept going and got it back to 4-3.

Big turning point, Otamendi header against bar.

Haven't flapped that hard in a LONG time on the match day thread... that was hard to watch and ever harder to swallow.

Thought Aguero was most offensive. Was hoping Pep would put on Bernardo instead of Aguero at the half but he persisted. Somehow he got even worse.

I love Fern, but that was a Pellegrini type performance from him, atrocious. Gonna go to the beach for awhile and cool off.
