That was a long time ago,not sure i would fancy vinny for this one but you may be right that nico and vinny are the better fit, vinny has looked very shaky on the ball, i thought he would play v wigan actually,i think he would have been good leading john,i hope pep picks our strongest team, nothing is more important than a cup final,no time for tinkering or out of form players

I know he isn’t the greatest passer and perhaps not a Pep type player but he reads danger well and there will be some dangerous moments in this game. Arsenal are no mugs going forward.

It beggars belief we are having to debate this, it’s such an easy decision, you play your best players in a final. Therefore Eddie should play.
Nothing easy about it , if it was easy then thats the decision Pep would make. There are many things to consider not least the trust and morale of the squad long term, if we lose it wont be because Bravo plays but even if it was it might be a price Pep thinks is worth paying for the bigger picture long term success of our squad.
What if Bravo was drooped then a week later Ederson was injured how motivated would Bravo be then ?

I have a funny feeling Pep could spring a surprise and play Laporte at left back with Komps and Otta in centre ... or play three of them at the back with Walker and Zinchenko as wingbacks ... and leave Sane on bench (or Sane as left wing back as he tried once before, I know it didn’t go well for him that game but you never know he might try that again).

Fair comment you make about Ederson getting injured and Bravo having to step in, but surely that’s how it is for a stand in player, you could say the same for outfield players who had played in earlier rounds. You get measured these days on trophies won, so for me it has to be your strongest team, ruthless? Yes, but that’s the name of the game in modern football.

Sane and sterling have to play as they will pin the arses back,i don't want any fancy formation just go back to what works

Re cb’s and lb for this game - Aubameyang is rapid and before they were blown away by Spurs and their possession they blew a couple of early breakaways which could’ve seen them 2 up quite easily. Don’t fancy anyone other than Walker in a foot race with him but Walker couldn’t catch Griggs. This is their main threat and a big consideration in our future defensive policy as Mendy isn’t super quick as we found early v the dippers. Love VK but he could be embarrassed if exposed here but we don’t have perfect choices.

Given thats your veiw, why do you thing Pep will pick Bravo, why would a manager that has won so mant trophies and lives to win trophies pick Bravo. Seems obvious to me his only reason would be in the long run it will make us a better and more successful team, in my opinion he's right, the carabao cup despite being a final is our least important target.

Least important or not don't you want to win it now we are there? strange

On Sunday it is our most important and only target until the day after. Picking your best players increases the liklihood of achieving the target.

Fair enough, let’s agree to differ, I want City to win whoever plays, it just gives me stress when Bravo plays, and, I think Wenger will target him.

Daft question, and dont think Bravo makes a lot of difference if we lose it will be down to others not playing well as much as Bravo.
Look at it like this Bravo is 35 and will soon need replaciing by a decent quality keeper, lets say we think its Gunn he will look at a chance to win cups and be on the bench for other games, dont you think if he sees Bravo get us to a final and be dropped he might think twice about coming back ?

He is 35,goes down in stages, rubbish,i would think any younger keeper would back himself and want to play for pep so i don't think we will be finding it difficult to find one, another eddie and it's no problem to play them in a final as there isn't a drop off in quality is there

No chance we get a young reserve keeper as good as Ederson happy to play second fiddle and considering Ederson ihas at least 10 years left then that second keeper needs to be able to trust his manager which is exactly why Pep will pick Bravo and in the long run City will be better for it.
