The Tarquins

What kind of club fandom abandons in such way. Waves of red off the premises.

Thought the red scum were quicker vacating Wembley on their way home -presumably as far as 'round the cawnah- on that semi Yaya nutmegged Vanderrag. Could it be that tarquins are posher than cockney rags and home is not as far from the ground?

Anyway, some ístoree. There have been three huge fire drills in english football, that I seem to recall:
1- Scum at Wembleh
2- Sick swan
3- Tarquins.
Bonus
4- Candlefucks when Willie.

Back in América footie, there is a club from el Rimaq down by the Bridge in Lima. Their faithful support self named themselves el extremo celeste they reckon they are the skyblue extreme, the fandom that never abandons. Sporting Cristal won the title on 2012 and also sporting almost same Umbro kit. "La hinchada que nunca abandona" coincidentally have consistently been behind the club and is unimaginable produce such scenes of the red exodus sort.

Totally agree , If Otto had done the same to Aubemayang and claimed a foul for a little nudge in the back we would have given Otto dogs abuse , a big six foot odd strapping centre half nudged off the ball by some one the size of Aguero , Mustafi needs to grow a pair and learn about positional play.

For me it's the same as Firmino's challenge against Stones at Anflield. You need the defender to be strong in that situation, a free kick against Aguero would have been a disgrace, far worse happens during every corner!

Fun that was he other way around and Mustafi stood his ground against on Aguero There isn’t a city fan alive trying to claim that’s a genuine foul. I’m fact Aguero would get the blame for looking at the ball and having no strength or awareness

Just watched the game after being on strict radio silence in Savannah Georgia for 3 days.. ESPN managed to make it sound like a funeral parlour...Well done City on a very professional job & shame on the Arse for scarpering before the end..

Football is supposed to be a contact sport. If that is seen as a foul we might as well just use netball rules.

If that's deemed obstruction then almost every aerial challenge would be blown up for a free. Aguero was clever, Mustafi was naive, that's all there is to it.

That's my point, he was clever and knew what he was doing. Wouldn't say Mustafi was naïve I just think he had no awareness of what was round him. Bottom line is for me if Aguero doesn't nudge him then he wins the ball. People can view it differently that's fine but for anyone to suggest Aguero was fouled need to have serious words with themselves.

This is the kind of reply that proves my point, contact absolutely but not when there is zero challenge from Aguero to win the ball. If they are both going up challenging for a ball and nudge each other so be it. When one is actively trying to play the ball and one is not then that's when I think contact cant come into it.

If you think that was a foul I despair ,maybe the cotton wool you are wrapped is getting in you eyes

Not at all, see above contact is fine but no attempt to play the ball for me is a foul yes no matter the level of impact. I had the same opinion when Stones was barged at Liverpool, I cant then change my mind to suit a city argument like many the blinkers do on here.

He didn't nudge him, he stood his ground - the kind of things defenders do 30 times a game.

Thanks for this, so blues take the tinted specs off and watch how that plays out. Ball in the air, defender staring at the ball and watch Agueros eyes, he isn't even watching the flight of the ball, doesn't care where it is. He sees the defenders turns to the side and puts his shoulder in his back. Knew it would put him off and ultimately did. Very clever play and I am certainly not complaining at all I just think with the media narrative being Arsenals weak performance then we all cling to that. If you are running backwards and someone turns into your back it will knock you off balance nothing to do with strength. Where he went wrong was not playing to the whistle and try and get back.

He does watch the ball, takes his eye off it to see where Mustafi is then eyes back on the ball after he's set himself.

Where he went wrong was being the wrong side of Aguero so he didn't have a clue where Aguero was. He's marking him.

The worst thing about that from an Arsenal point of view is that City make that move a lot, and the defender did not anticipate it.

I don't know any footballers who don't look at a player coming towards them. That is not a foul.

He does have his eyes on the ball. At the start.

Then judges how to put the defender off (without fouling him).

Then goes on to score.

Football is a contact sport and a huge percentage of contacts are not fouls. This is one where that is the case.

Well that was easy.
The lack of a striker for Arsenal was there for all too see. How many times in the first 20 minutes did they hoof the ball up front only for it to go out for a corner or throw-in. Our defenfders rarely broke a sweat.
You could almost narrow down to the second the moment City clicked into their rhythm, and once we got rocking there was no way back for them.

I see we pocketed just £100000 prize money for winning on Sunday. Losers £50000 and the two losing semi finalists £25000 each. Nobody else gets a penny from the earlier rounds.

I bet Carabao are paying the Football League five times all of that to sponsor the competition.
