City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

My sister and friend were snowed in at their home just outside Edinburgh. Absolutely no chance of them getting to Manchester so their seats were empty.

We sold out the chelsea game yet huge rows are empty......could this be a reseller thing? Are people buying to resell at stupid prices? Makes little sense as we didnt have this problem before and now all of a sudden(pasy 18months?) it has started happening. Selling out but people not coming.
Have you been in a cave for the last five days?

What empty seats?
Family Stand as usual, all together on rows towards the front. Its a regular problem with the family stand. Would be better if this section was moved somewhere else, out of view of the cameras

We get a lot of school parties and junior football clubs coming from Scotland and Ireland, these family stand empties were at the front where they normally go so possibly weather related.

You're spot on there. My season ticket is towards bottom and we're surrounded with Scottish kids usually. Like a poster said earlier, we need to make family stand bit smaller and possibly hide it away a little.

Some of the worst snow and travel conditions in years and some wonder why there were some empty seats yesterday?

Family stand is the issue every week. Bigger than it needs to be. Make the second tier a family stand and the bottom tier a cheap stand so we can have both of ends full of passionate supporters.

You don't have to explain why your sister couldn't make it mate, Its got absolutely fuck all to do with the moaning fuckers who think it looks bad on t.v.

We came down from just south of edinburgh yesterday and roads were ok. Left in a blizzard but by Penrith it was positively Mediterranean! Tbf, I didn’t really notice that many empty seats and I thought the early leaving was a bit less than usual.

Looks bad to the players, coaching staff, fans who've made the "effort" and isn't conducive to creating a great atmosphere close to the pitch and behind the goal. Of course there are always real reasons for not attending but this is every week.
Yours sincerely
Moaning Fucker.

Well i keep hearing the same thing week in week out abt Empty seats. And week in week out our players keep demolishing teams at home. So I'm fairly sure its not effecting the players :)

Why, we don’t even have enough passionate singers in the singing end to make noise.

I am sick of this shit. People moan about the age of our fan base being too olds and clown
S on here constantly have a go at the family stand. I was In The family stand yesterday there are plenty of empty seats all over the rest of the ground, the biggest gaps being the third tier of the south stand.

I agree there is an issue for the tv fans having their viewing pleasure utterly ruined because the club choose to give some tickets to football clubs around the country and sometimes they don’t turn up hence the empty seats, may be the relevant football club yesterday took a decision not to travel.

Btw most of the game as per usual the small section of away fans in the same stand as our singing section were louder than our home fans. The atmosphere has fook all to do with family stand.

The best was when we sang “we are not really here” all the ground joined in. Most people are confused by the dzeko song and you wouldn’t expect the family stand to join in with 19 in front you Portuguese **** , although plenty of smiles.

I think the atmosphere of the south stand is affected by the legends lounge in the middle of the second tier. Btw when we scored the goal yesterday nobody in those seats were in their seat.

All clubs have empty seats in part of their ground. Look at the Emirates on Thursday.

Those moaning about empty seats should re-watch Match of the Day from Saturday night. There were loads of empty seats at every ground.
Now I wonder why that is and secondly, why no one bothered to mention it on commentary?

If you recall his post match interview after the Arsenal home game last season, then you’ll know that Pep (on behalf of his players) completely disagrees with you

I’m not usually bothered about empty seats, but there’s clearly a problem with the family stand. It’s obvious the club have batches of tickets to give away because it’s big bunches of seats that are empty in the family stand. Everywhere else around the stadium is just the odd empty single.
