City phoned me and offered this for corperate hospitality for the Liverpool game.. Meet at the academy stadium get a pie & pint and a seat on the half way line in the East Stand, for only £199... How can they justify the price of that, it basically works out at £190 for a match ticket..
Or it could be £180 for the pie, a tenner for the pint and the ticket comes free!
I believe if it wasn't for FFP ticket prices would be lower. City have to achieve as high revenues as possible to enable their growth. We can only spend what we earn.City have been doing this for along time, not just since the oil takeover, but for many years before that as well. We just have to accept that football at this level has to be entirely commercially driven. The reality is that ticket receipts only account for a small amount of the revenue. The rest is made up of TV money, sponsorship and then Hospitality. The bigger City get, the hospitality prices will continue to increase - based purely on demand. The bigger european clubs have been exploiting this for years and years. I went to a Barcelona Champions league match about 7 years ago (in the group stage) against ..............(can't remember!) and they were charging approx £350 which got you into a rather bland room with no seats/chairs, still had to buy any food and drink and a seat up in the gods.............

Our matchday revenues are well below United, Arsenal, Chelsea and probably Liverpool. If UEFA and the Premier League cared about fans they would insist that some money from TV deals was ringfenced to subsidise match tickets for everyone. It should be built into the contract.
I thought alcohol was banned for European games?
when did the east stand level 1 become corporate ?. ive always thought that was where ordinary fans went. .
