New Kits 2018/19

AC Milan prominently display the flag of St George on their badge.

St George is patron saint of Locorotondo, Genoa, Milan, Ferrara, Reggio Calabria and Cellatica in Brescia., a patron saint of catalan, many places in portugal, georgia and various other places.

It's not absurd at all.

In Catalonia, the Spanish flag is considered by many to be associated with fascism, so they don't want that associated with the club. Exactly the same reason many City fans don't want a Union Jack or flag of St George on the shirt.

I've got no problem with the England flag, I just don't want it on a City shirt. It never has been, isn't going to be and probably never will be, so I don't really understand why you're even arsed.

The difference is we are still English. Barcelona do not believe they are Spanish, so why would they have a Spanish Flag.

I don't care whether we have an English flag on our shirt or not. I just don't understand people who really do not want it there as if they're ashamed of it.

I'm not ashamed of it. But I've not particularly got a hard-on for it either. I'm not really arsed either way.

If people want to show their pride at being born in a particular country and want to wave a little flag to tell everyone about it, good luck to them. It's never really interested me.

Hello, is this the right place for an argument about whether something that probably isn't on the shirt shouldn't be on the shirt. If it is I think we shouldn't have Daffodils on a City shirt.

THE GOLDEN PREMIER LEAGUE BADGE is the only thing that is going to make this top

Either way the shoulders are darker than the body of the shirt, like last year’s kit, though perhaps not as pronounced.

The weave pattern would have been much better as a very subtle embossing on the same sky blue on the sleeves, like the example below.

This collar looks so much better than that single button one. The navy blue accents around the neck would go nicely with the navy socks! Hope this is more like the real one than that button one doing the rounds ...

That's a better idea than if we do have different colour fucking sleeves again, nike wankers.

I agree.

Unfortunately, the fact that footyheadlines.com just released the button monstrosity, a day before the official unveiling, which goes against their previous mock-ups, makes me think it in fact represents the actual shirt.

If that is the actual shirt, it is ****ing awful. That is actually worse than last year’s, and I didn’t think that was possible.

I’ll only be buying that if we win the quadruple.

Even if we won ALL of our games and at the same time rags lost all of theirs I still wouldn’t touch that pile of shite!!

My god who is the c*nt who authorises this darker sleeves shit I would love to punch him in the dick!

No mate nothing can save this, sorry.
I’ll just take my this season’s kit to the store and ask for the badges to be put to this one

I’m not really a shirt buyer so I’m less interested than some but how hard can it be to produce a football kit in club colours that the fans are happy with. I guess the whole process would be a whole lot easier if the club and Nike talked to the fans. The present kits are fine to be fair but the year befores were absolutely embarrassing. I know we all want to blame Nike but other clubs have Nike as their kit manufacturer and don’t seem to have to put up with the wrong colour shorts and the like - so questions have to be asked about the people who interface with Nike at the club.

Fwiw, the club aren't happy with Nike at all. They actually told us we'd have unique shirts when we signed up. All this stuff about us being a priority... which turned out to be bollocks. Then they've delivered all the kits late with no time for changes, conveniently. They're ridiculously hard to work with apparently. I suspect Puma will really want to impress so it should be much better. Fuck Nike man.

It's nice to know the club dislike them too.

Do you know if that latest Footyheadlines one is close to, if not on, the mark?

will the club be prepared to sit down with fans over the summer and actually discuss what we're going to do going forward under a new manufacturer to ensure we get a consistent identity?

Our top class negotiation team should have had this stuff written down in the contract.... pretty basic really.

That’s fine and good to know. Thanks for sharing. However, we’ve been burned more than once with Nike so some of the wank ideas must have been ok’d by the club.

I have no idea. Your guess is as good as mine.
