I think Pep will definetly focus on match ups like we have against Liverpool ,so we won´t end up making same mistakes and loose badly again.Fern hasn´t been good against them building up the game and has made some costly mistakes with his passing or decision making.Biggest probem has been our defending against them ,made some really stupid mistakes.First game against them with 3atb an the last one seemed to be working pretty well against them ,allowe to control the game a bit more

Or we could just pay the ref more than they do.

I doubt very much he will have the dippers on his mind when investing mega millions in a player,as a rule we play them twice a season,we have the best defence in the league already

We lost our chance in cl because of them nd in cl we will meet stronger teams that might press us and play similar style and i don´t think that Pep enjoys having lost more times to Klopp than having won against him

Napoli are the best pressing team we have faced this season,if it wasn't for a couple of brain farts and bent reffing decisions we would have got through,as i say we won't buy a player because of the dippers,we are god knows how many points ahead of them in the league, they are a cup team who are irrelevant to us in the grand scheme of things

Not sure about that Napoli quote.Seen them playing in Serie A and i think Liverpool is better in that department. What i was trying to say is Jorginho might be a great option against those kind of teams ,where you need even more neat passing and have very little time to make decisions, if you score first against these kind of teams it gets quite a lot easier.

In the CL Napoli were a real handful,we lost the dipper games in large part because of stupid mistakes and shocking ref mistakes
I don't know enough about this kid to comment on him but we need someone to lighten the load on dinho,if he can pass better then thats welcome as well

Yeah ,but the thing is we lost and we did it 3 times..need to make something to improve on that one, not an expert on Jorginho either ,but Dinho hsa never been the best passer or ball player.

Seems the going rate for a international DM....not sure why we would think he'd be any less.....The market has gone up again since last summer...I'd be surprised if players like Fred, Jorginho, Fabinho dont all have a starting price of around 40-50mil...
I agree, crazy how the club just don’t pay up, rags, dippers both after him so Napoli are obviously going to want a bidding war.

Napoli want 60m, Stretford will give them 120m! Job done, another masterclass from Hose A.
Mourinho is desperate and the only way to draw these players to united is money, Pep as pulling power but if rags don’t mind paying the fee and wages that’s where city go wrong. I know they have to protect the club but that price surly is about right?

De Laurentis is as bad as Levy at Spurs. If City don't pay the requested fee then he won't be coming here. I don't know why we bother trying it on to be honest.

Fernandinho has a 90.1% passing accuracy & the mistakes made against LFC in the CL 1st leg were in part due to Guardiola switching tactics. I saw an interesting article a few weeks ago that showed since Guardiola has left Barca, every time his team has got to the CL quarter/semi finals, he's made major tactical changes all of which have failed.

It was quite sobering to look at the team selections before & after each of these matches. Fernandinho fared no worse against LFC than any other player & if anything, starting with Gundog on the right wing was a criminal error of judgement.

Added to the fact that Dinho is 33 & is virtually the first name on the team sheet, this alone proves how vital he is to the passing/possession crazy Guardiola. This is why we need to proper long term cover/competition for him.

City will know De Laurentiis of old - he’s a nightmare to deal with. If we want Jorginho then he’ll cost circa €70m

BBC gossip today...
Manchester City's pursuit of Napoli midfielder Jorginho has been boosted by Manchester United's waning interest in the 26-year-old Italian. (Manchester Evening News)
Or maybe it’s because he wants to join a winning team, and isn’t a mercenary!
