It's always the lowest quarter. Some of it is dependent on home matches and European as it is generally ticket sales for cups/Euro rather than the big TV income/season ticket sales.

You can look at the 8.6M higher wage bill, and extra 8M TV money, but they only made 10M more than last year, so it's probably only notable in that it doesn't show that much that's notable.

They lost £21 million last quarter.

They also say that their debt reduced by £65 million to £301.3 million but that's just turd glittering. Their debt has fallen in Sterling terms because the dollar has fallen in the last few months. Their debt in US Dollars is unchanged.

Did he really? I remember most people wondering why they were paying £30m rising to £60m for someone no-one had ever heard of who no other big club seemed interested in.
