I'm not so sure. The gulf between us and them is growing wider every day. Next season I anticipate both the Spuds and the Dippers being our rivals, whilst I only see the rags struggling to stay in the top 4. They have not progressed since the Pisscan saw the writing on the wall, if anything they have regressed: it's like they are stuck in the 80's, mullet hairstyles and listening to Duran Duran. I think the closest they came to embracing the 21st Century was under Looney Louie - I genuinely felt he was capable of leading them on to bigger and better things. But no, they ditched him and they've been treading water since.
Maureen is not -and never has been- a man to take a club forward in the manner that Pep, Klopp and Potch can (and have). These are all forward-thinking men who let their players breathe, they let them express themselves creatively on the pitch, something Maureen would never endorse.

At best it's mid-table mediocrity for the rags from now on.
But they sold whatever soul they had for peg to win 2 trophies and a community shield. If they had won yesterday, the rags would of been shouting that hes won 3 trophies to Peps 2. Wonder how many of them will survive the dippers record of 1 in 12 nevermind going 30 years in our shadow.

Actually players are ENCOURAGED to express themselves.

Ha ha brilliant! That fat moron sums up their fans to a tee.

He''s basically saying that it was fine whilst they were winning year after year, but now they'really also-rans and we're tearing it up, it's suddenly a bad thing... the bitter twat

With Mourinho still living in his hotel, it recalls this song...

Hotel hobbies padding dawns hollow corridors
Bell boys checking out the hookers in the bar
Slug-like fingers trace the star-spangled clouds of cocaine on the mirror
The short straw took it's bow

The tell tale tocking of the last cigarette
Marking time in the packet as the whisky sweat
Lies like discarded armour
on an unmade bed
And a familiar craving is crawling in his head

And the only sign of life is the ticking of the pen
Introducing characters to memories like old friends
Frantic as a cardiograph scratching out the lines
A fever of confession a catalogue of crime in happy hour
Do you cry in happy hour
Do you hide in happy hour
The pilgrimage to happy hour

New shadows tugging at the corner of his eye
Jostling for attention
As the sunlight flares
Through a curtains tear
Shuffling it's beams as if in nervous anticipation of another day

From the brilliant album ‘clutching at straws’...also rather apt at the moment.

It’s his age all he has known is his team winning everything year in year out! They don’t remember the team before baconchops turned up! A team where they had won around 16 trophies in their entire history where the likes of Everton and Villa were had won more! 26 years without the league title with the occasional cup win and the we beat Liverpool trophy thrown in. They are a team that’s been overhyped since a tragic incident in there history, also one of the reasons why they have a big following.

The main reason they have a big following.

Nahh it was also them winning everything when the premier came along with the money meaning more people seen them win for a lot of glory hunters

They had a very big following long before the pisscan and the Premier League came along.

Over the years, I’ve come across many, who have said, I started supporting them because of Munich, or my mum/dad started supporting them because of Munich.
