However if the figures quoted are true thats nearly £120 million spent and not much to show for it. You may be thinking of Palace. After Eddie saved their last minute penalty Kev got the ball and started racing up the field on his own when Puncheon went through him. It was a red card all day long but he got only a yellow. His season ending cruciate injury was Karma though.

I think it is genuine story to an extent. All clubs have fairly long lists where they will make enquiries to start whittling down to targets, I think some sort of call was made to generate this reporting. However you would think they must have some better options on their list. I accept on his day he is a handful but for every 1 good game he has 2 bad. I just don't see how he fits for them, they have the best big lump striker in the league (if that is what you want). Are they after a back up big lad? I believe it I just can't work it out.
