I loved watching Marsh play football.However as you said very good footballers can be nobs and Marsh definitely is.

I’ve stuck up for him through all the negative things that have happened. But this really feels like a step too far. I’m still (probably naively) clinging to the hope he’s been misquoted or something has been lost in translation

Well, Yaya and Pep clearly never saw eye to eye and he obviously sees this as his opportunity for payback. Who knows what's really behind it all? I would hazard a guess that Pep didn't feel like he quite fitted into his system and Yaya didn't like it, which would be understandable.

Does it make me think less of his contribution to our success? Yes.

Do I think he's badly advised by his **** of an agent? Yes.

Would I say something similar if I harboured an honestly held grudge against an ex-boss? Maybe!

Do I really care? No, not when we are likely to be talking about something more important next week.
