If all that is true then why did Guardiola keep him this season? Why was he even allowed to be around the young players who clearly look up to him, let alone mentor them as "uncle Yaya"?

It's been 3 years since Yaya was a player so important to the side and so good that his football deserved carte blanche off the pitch.

Seems to run completely counter to Pep binning Ronaldinho because his partying was a bad example to the kids he had around in 2008 as well.
 
I find this long sorry saga hard to digest really, I understand what has and is still going on with him and his agent, as Seluk is trying to hawk him about one last pay day. Seluk reminds me of a butcher with a mike on his market meat van, giving it large trying to sell some cheap cut of meat as though it's finest steak, but to further my analogy, Yaya is no longer Finest Rib Eye, in the last 3 seasons he become a big bumbling beef burger that is almost inedible to digest!

Always a felt Yaya was doing us a favour by him playing for us, I think many of us did, but I try and think of him for his wonderful footballing moments he's given us instead of all the shit that he has said, and allowed Seluk to say, in tarnishing the name of this proud football club, that saddens me.

We gave him our full support pre cake-gete and other outbursts, many including myself stayed post match on his send off and aknowledged Yaya's tremendous catalytic footballing moments that led to winning our first pot in donkeys years, plus the silverware since, especially in 14.

I really don't want to remember Yaya more for his off field antics of him and Seluk dragging my club through the mud with spurious bullshit antics and accusations, but I think that in years to come, Yaya Toure will be remembered more as a fool than a magnificent footballer. Sad really.

Much as Toure has played up his integral role in the dressing room, he was definitely on the outside with Pep, who knows when a player is winging it and not fit.

Maybe last summer was too important for Pep to be binning a player who seemingly at least tried to remain professional at the latter end of the previous season?

All I know is that Toure (and that's how I will always refer to him from now on) was keeping his powder dry to twist the knife into Pep and our club.

The fact he also attempted to de-legitimise the club and its achievements, bringing up the whole money angle, is the biggest pisser for me.

His wealth has retained him in a bubble where he actually has had little interaction with the City supporter base and genuinely perceives his status to be at such a level, he can say and do no wrong.

Even sadder, his ego has long ago taken him away from what Africa and its people have to forsake on a daily basis.

He's no African, he's a bloated, egotistical faux Muslim, with enough chips on his shoulder to feed most of the continent he claims to represent.

When his ever-expanding frame looks into the mirror in the years to come, he can continue to count his money and delude himself that he is loved at City.

What love remained has long since evaporated, yet his love of money and the sweet nothings of a parasite 'friend' agent, telling him how great he is, will be his lasting legacy.

Legends are about more than what takes place on the pitch, it's about how you represent those people that champion you.

Toure was only ever in it for himself.
 
His agent clearly never wants to deal with City again - great business decision on his part, or does he know that the other players he represents will never get him a lunch at City.

A quick look at a list of the players Celuk represents shows that clearly Yaya has been his meal ticket for a decade and that he doesn't know where his next dinner will come from.

Also....if Yaya is out of contract, why is Celuk charging a £1 transfer fee?

I feel a tad mugged by Toure now - I put aside his indifferent performances of the last 3 years to give hima send off that a club legend should be allowed to receive - now he spits it back in the face of the club. This club was never Yaya FC!
 
Nobody is bigger than the club and that includes Yaya, Pep and everyone else before, now and in years to come. When someone starts to believe they are bigger my gut reaction is to get rid soon as, although that can hurt.

I believe we should have sold him in 2015, hes done nothing since and his 'Weaver' impersonation at Wembley after scoring the winning penalty summed up how he was perceived in the dressing for me- he ran shirt waving towards the centre circle expecting to be mobbed and the team ran to the real hero- goalkeeper Willy.

Yaya has to be adored. Sadly hes blown it at our place, hopefully the mosiac will get trashed.

Farewell and good riddance. I couldnt give a crap where he ends up and in some ways it would be nice to give him a real send off if he came back with another team, it would leave him in no doubt how he is thought of. Would make the champions league anthem booing seem a little tame i would think...

FFS is he? Can't believe we are letting that snake slither in to the club again. I thought his antics last time really undermined City and especially Bobby Manc. The dressing room leaked like a sieve when the snake was around. He has a fast track to the tabloid reptiles. It's enough to put me off signing Mahrez. Joorabchian has left a trail of destruction wherever he has been involved.

IMO part of our CFA experience should be giving players the knowledge and know-how not to need agents.

Gareth Barry didn’t have an agent and got himself a choice of City or Liverpool on his own and negotiated his own contract at a club where he won the FA Cup and Premier League title.

Shows what can be done

We should have our own agents and once a player signs for us he cuts ties with his previous agent and that’s that

if he is to come back then he will only have his idiotic self and odious agent to blame for a hostile reception. I won't boo him personally, but if others do I can't fault them.

As for the mosaic that Sheikh Mansour commissioned for YT, if I had my way I'd have it smashed into a thousand pieces and sprinkled onto a big fuck off cake made from dogshit. See if the ungrateful Tou - rag still likes a cake! I'd also rescind his his lifelong season ticket and not allow him back into the Etihad.

Shaun Goater had a fraction of Tou-rag's ability, but gave gis all. He is revered as a proper Legend of the club IMO. Nice genuine guy too having met him twice.

Should just announce that as a mark of gratitude for his on field activities, the mosaic and training pitch tributes will remain for next season and then will be withdrawn as the respect and dignity is only one way.

Don't see how the club can keep these in place now.

They will have taken legal advice. Pep has deep pockets and SKY can't repeat the strongest allegations without risking action. They have run with KDB hitting back at Ya Ya. I don't think City or Pep will sue because doing so will just prolong the story and give it even wider circulation. They will want it to wither on the vine. The Seluk claims are so absurd they don't really need a reply.
The whole saga begs the question: "Why did Kolo give a speech to 50,000 people praising Pep to the hilt if he was so cruel to his brother?"
