I get that pal, we’re not an unstoppable transfer manchine but I just think you used bad examples and both of those we chose to walk away; Sanchez:- because United came in to pay WAY to much, Fred:- we changed targets.

Alves would be a better example, or Mbappe. Even Laporte. But we did get him eventually.

The examples are valid mate. We go in for a player & for one reason or another we don't get him.

It matters little whether we walk away, or the player turns us down to stay put, or to pursue other offers, the net result, & the only one that matters is we don't get the player.

That's why I highlighted 'If we're after a player, we get him'. There were no caveats offered with that claim & I offered none in my response.

Don't worry about the transfer situation mate. It will happen when it happens & not before. As I said a week ago, City & Napoli are miles apart in their valuations, however Napoli have accepted that Jorginho will leave this window.

The issue now is that Napoli want his replacement in first, before allowing him to leave, because they fear the price of his replacement will escalate if other clubs know they've got £40m+ burning a hole in their pockets.

Just stay calm mate & trust Txiki. He's not God, but he's a damn good negotiator.
