When Mahrez was first linked to City, ages ago I went "nah, must be bollocks, doesn't work hard enough without the ball".
The fact we actually want him, & that he isn't some Neymar sized star, who can do what the fuck he wants, even under Pep, prettty much wipes away my doubts.
I don't think Pep would sign this player unless he was convinced he will run like everyone else.
It's the single most important point Pep made recently on Sky " If they don't run, they don't play".

Hello again, as a Leicester fan, I sometimes tune into this thread to see if there is any news your end.
I'm reading about RM's workrate and athleticism. No, he is not Bale or a younger Toure in terms of athleticism and his legs might resemble pipe cleaners, but don't be fooled by the languid skinny physique. He glides.
As for workrate, again, this is a myth. Flair players like Riyad have always been dismissed as lazy, especially as a dedicated glove wearer. He is not lazy. He was given clear defensive instruction by Ranieri and as a team that played counter attacking football on the back foot, he was given more than his fair share of defensive duty. Without the ball, our wingers were expected to help out the full backs. He might not be very good at it but he didn't shirk it.
At the end of the day, you're getting a flair player. A Rolls Royce. Not Lee Cattermole.
Most of us Leicester fans rate him more highly than Sterling. We might be biased and you might disagree, but one thing is for sure, he offers something different to Sterling. Raheem is direct and quick. Riyad weaves and glides and has astonishing control and technique.
You might be spoiled for talent in your squad but Riyad will have you off your seats and what's more, he will make you laugh the way he takes the piss out of defenders. He humiliated Ashley WIlliams so much that he tried to board the Leicester coach after the game to get to him.
Anyway, any bloomin' news?
Messi has been useless for us mate tbf. That’s such a lazy argument. So by that logic, because messi and Ronaldo haven’t had double assists and goals FOR US yet, they also wouldn’t be sensational?
Come off it mate
What?
I just asked if you would consider double figures for goals and assists something special?
Only our american friend who doesn't watch him thinks he is not a good player, most of us know what he would bring,no further news todayHello again, as a Leicester fan, I sometimes tune into this thread to see if there is any news your end.

Pep is building machine, more goals and assists will fit right inWhat did he get last year? 10 assists and 12 goals? Hardly 'something special'.
The first paragraph? I’ve seen him play well, no I don’t watch every game. But was I attacking his talent or on field displays? He is not an in shape athelete in my opinion. I feel there is a certain standard that pro athletes should maintain. But this is again my opinion. Vardy and him are the focal points for their team now. That might be why his stats are so good. If he had to compete for ball touches versus our front guys his stats might go down but they might go up too, this is yet to be determined. It’s a squad builder buy I can see the perks but just not stoked or a fan.
So come tell us all, what will we be missing from this £75M over-payed transfer,I`m intrigued.Agree with a lot of this, don't see why so many on here are throwing toys out the pram. I can see why we're buying him and I'm sure he'll do well, but 75mil (or whatever it is) seems so overpriced for what we'll actually get.

In this day and age £75M is good business for someone who has proved more than his worth in this league over a number of years.About £30M worth of a footballer x
