Now don't fucking start with the insults. I ask a reasonable question and you come back with shit.
I'll try one more time; what has trump done to 'deserve credit' for bringing us 'closer to world peace' as BTH suggested?

It wasn’t at a reasonable question and you know it. As I say I dislike Trump but I’ll give credit where it’s due.

He deserves credit for merely getting in front of the NK dictator and getting him to agree with signing an agreement. It’s more than any US president has ever done.

Add to that I think he’s played it very well, first of all making it clear it was goodnight should NK want to play with fire, then offering a diplomatic solution, threatening to walk away again and then finally meeting for talks. He’s made it on US terms but given NK security, so everyone’s happy.

You’ll absolutely refuse to give any credit though because you can’t see through your hatred of him.

The guy cannot do anything right . Taken on its own I think this is a good step - I have visited Korea a few times and I am hopeful this is the start of something special for the peninsula and its people.

His supporters will be wanking silly over it whilst trying to lord it over libtards and snowflakes that he's done something that no one in the West has done before.

There is a reason why no one in the West has done it. NK will not give up their Nukes. Not ever. They said they would stop their march to nuclearisation in 1992, 2005 and now they have Nukes they said they'd disarm in April. They won't.

The agreement they just signed was a signal to work towards the agreements they already had in place. So nothing new.

Now, if it's just a first step towards many meetings and talks etc then that's a good thing but there is a reason many are sceptical of NK's promises.

When Obama hinted he would meet with NK he was rightly criticised that it would give NK legitimacy and strengthen Kim's position at home and abroad.

In any case this won't matter because as I said it's a day for his supporters to be laughing at liberals because to them that's all that matters.

We'll see how that plays out.

In talks in 1992 they committed to denuclearise.

They did the same in 2005.

NK will not give up it's nukes.

Was it the same in 2005? Where did George Bush meet the NK dictatorship?

What agreement did they sign?

I think you're giving Trump too much credit for the meeting happening.

In South Korea the media are saying Kim made it happen by developing nuclear capable IBCM's.

Of course they could completely go back on any agreement, as we all know happens, but it’s the furthest we’ve got, as in the West.

That may be the case, and it's certainly the most promoted, but the points read very similar to a 1993 agreement - denuclearisation, peace.

So "A denuclearisation agreement and secured peace with NK, that no one has achieved in generations." is overstating things from what I can see, and the last bit may just be wrong.

Maybe I am and I’d certainly agree NK having the weapons in the first place forced the US’s hand for peace talks, they certainly learned from Saddam etc. On having a set of cards to play with.

Still I think he’s played it incredibly well and has done as well as he could of.

Surely some credit is due?

It is certainly historic. If it truly leads to a break through in de-nuclearisation then it is incredible.

However surely you can see why it would be best to see how it plays out considering that NK has agreed to this three times before already.

You are wasting your time with the 'flat earthers' on here mate.
They can't see past the BBC and Liberal luvvies narrative to loath and sneer at Trump regardless of what he does or achieves.
They are sheep who blindly follow the general media viewpoint and perception that is put forward by the left.
They cannot think for themselves and they most certainly can't and won't give him credit for achieving something that no
other US President has ever achieved. They think they are clever, intelligent & wise to world events. In reality they are sheep.
Baaaaaaaa!

Bush didn't meet NK because it's long been the case in the West that a meeting face to face would give the brutal dictatorship a legitimacy. Something the Republicans were at pains to argue when Obama hinted of a meeting.

Here is the break down of the 2005 meeting,

https://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/19/world/asia/text-of-joint-statement.html

Obama hinted at a lot of things but delivered fuck all apart from health care.
He was the most disappointing US President in living memory.
A fraud who could talk the talk but not walk the walk.
The world is full of them...

They are 2 pathological liars that both treat dissent with harsh consequences, I will admit that Trump hasn't literally set dogs on people or blown his brother-in-law up with a missile(yet) but you get my point

Kim is very well educated, Trump is not. Kim has a view on Global politics, Trump does not. I have a very bad feeling this is going to end very badly. Trump isn't shy if ripping up deals that directly effect his allies regardless of their concerns i.e Iran. If he gets a whiff of this isn't going the way he had imagined(in dream world), what will happen then?

Another great achievement by Trump - he is putting his country first. Ignore all the noise and shite he is impressing as President and takes no shit.

This is BS. Obama had minimal power as the GOP had the two other branches for all most his entire 8 year regain. Without any influence over the senate or house of reps you can not expect a president to deliver much. In fact the way it should work is the Senetors and Reps really wield the power and a President is really just the head of state with limited powers. Trump is acting like a dictator and breaking the long held conventions / rules. The GOP'ers are to weak to stop him.

To use a useful remark:
"You are wasting your time with the 'flat earthers' on here mate."

The general misconception promoted by cunts like Fox Sake News

The Senate and Congress hog tied him from day one. The failure if the Dems to win both Houses made every positive move like wading in treacle.

It’s like chopping a guy’s legs off then slagging the **** because he can’t tap dance.

On this and every single political thread. spot on. Every policy or issue is argued like its City v United. irrespective of the merits or arguments for and against - if its anti trump, anti tories then then they simply fit their argument around that principle.
